Spacious 1 bedroom house, in the small and beautiful 13th century medieval bastide of Pujols, with a private garden and own front door on to the street. There are two cafes, a Piano Bar and a very good Sardinian Restaurant, Sunday market and a Wednesday night food market. Pujols is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. No traffic other than that of residences. The apartment has an open planned fully fitted kitchen, pretty sitting/dining room with long window doors, which overlooks the quiet Rue de Temple and a family bathroom with a walk in shower, as well as an orchard garden a few paces down the same small street, with a BBQ, small table and chairs under the trees, nice for that evening drink on a lovely warm evening. Downstairs is a garage which belongs to the owners ...Spacious 1 bedroom house, in the small and beautiful 13th century medieval bastide of Pujols, with a private garden and own front door on to the street. Downstairs is a garage which belongs to the owners but there is secure parking outside the bastide walls. Highly suitable for a couple but it also has a double sofa bed, comfortable for a further person or two. It is well equipped, very comfortable and light. A few minutes down the hill from the bastide is the large town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot with shops, supermarkets and two weekly markets.More

Interaction with guests
We live in the bastide. A welcome basket with the basic needs for the first breakfast can be arranged for 35 euros, which includes: Milk, butter, eggs, bread, muesli, jam, sugar, coffee and tea. There are a number of boulangeries down the hill for fresh bread, fruit farms and numerous supermarkets and other food shops as well. The kitchen is fully equipped. Nothing is very far away from Pujols. There is the open air swimming pool complex close by. Within easy distance from the vineyards of Bordeaux, Cahor and Gaillac. Many interesting places to visit, good for cycling, boating and horse riding. A seasonal reduction in the price from now to the end of June.

About the neighborhood
This area of France has many very interesting medieval bastide towns, dating back to 14th century Monflanquin, Tournon d'Agenais, Penne d'Agenais, Temple sur Lot and Monpazier. Also a renowned gourmet region of France and known for its fruit and vegetables grown locally and wonderful peaches and melon farms. For a day trip, Saint Emillion is and hour and a half away; Chateau de Bonaguil and the Chateau Biron a nice drive away, the vineyards of Cahors and interesting riverside such as Puy l'Eveque. Bergerac is an hour away and nice for a day trip The Baise canal 1/2hr has boats can be hired at the Buzet marina. Temple sur Lot, 20 mins away has interesting water lily gardens where Monet bought the lilies for his garden outside Paris.
Getting around
The bastide of Pujols is on top of the hill above Villeneuve sur Lot overlooking the Lot Valley to the North and the Valley of the Mail to the South. From Agen there is a train connection via Bordeaux to Paris, which takes 2-1/2hrs on the new TGV fast line, the line also goes to Toulouse. From Agen station there is a bus to Villeneuve sur Lot and from there a small bus goes up to Pujols. Boats can be hired from Agen and Buzet and Nerac for canal trips, stables down in the valley and numerous bicycle shops where bicycles can be hired in Villeneuve sur Lot, as well as car hire companies. Two small private airports close by at Temple sur Lot and another near Penne d'Agenais.
