Perfect Christmas
Another amazing Christmas spent at Springfield! Every single detail was taken care of and it was spotlessly clean as always. Fiona goes above and beyond. Can’t wait to find an excuse to go back.

Quality, Comfort, Hospitality,and great location.
This is our third visit to this wonderful bungalow.High quality throughout.
Beautiful gardens, and the hostess makes you feel so welcome.
The location itself is ideal for visiting Sussex and beyond, with great views of the South Downs from the front. Springfield is situated in peaceful location, with good transport links. We have stayed at many properties in the past and Springfield takes some beating. Would we return, most definitely.

Superb in Sussex!
Fiona’s bungalow was perfect......it felt like home right from when we parked up on the drive! Brilliant & quaint bungalow in a perfect quiet and peaceful location......our host had thought of everything and her little touches really made our stay - our only regret was not staying more nights! This Airbnb had everything you could need......even with it’s own games room in the garden and lovely little outside patio and seating area perfect for those summer gatherings.....Highly recommended if you’re visiting Buxted! Amazing views from the kitchen & dining room also!

Absolutely amazing
We loved our stay in the bungalow and even though we were only there one night it was so comfortable and had a deluxe feeling. We loved the little touches and extras that were provided. The welcome basket and hand written letter were the just the cutest and sweet extras. I would recommend staying here for anyone visit the area.

a quiet oasis
Set in a quiet cul de sac this beautiful bungalow has very thing you need for a lovely break. Very well equipped with lots of little luxuries, nothing was a problem for the owner Fiona. We had our 18 month old granddaughter with us and found it suitable for her, Fiona had added extra items for the little one.We would love to stay again.

Comfortable, well-equipped house with great amenities and lovely views
The house is comfortably furnished with everything you could need for your stay, plus some extra luxury items like robes and toiletries. The games room is a really nice addition. Fiona is a friendly, welcoming host, and was available to answer questions. The views over the countryside to the South Downs are lovely, and it's in a great location for exploring East Sussex.

Outstanding stay with an outstanding host
Absolutely outstanding accommodation and host. This is hands down the best UK property we have rented, clean, comfortable and a host that goes above and beyond for her guests. Close to pretty much everything in Sussex including decent restaurants and pubs. The bungalow is fully equipped for cooking whatever you fancy and felt like home but better! Every little detail was considered, we had informed Fiona that it would be our first Christmas with our 7 month old daughter and she made it really special with a tree and other decorations. Better than many hotels we’ve been to! Extremely responsive host (even making herself available on Christmas Day if needed!), we will definitely be returning!

Excellent
Wonderful accommodation in a lovely tranquil spot within easy reach of the south coast. Beautiful gardens, including use of a games room with table tennis etc. Lots of thoughtful touches such as flowers, food, teas and coffees, bottle of wine, high quality bath products. Lovely comfortable beds and blissfully quiet. Never actually got to meet Fiona as we arrived late and left early but all communication with her was prompt, helpful and informative. Thoroughly recommended.

Perfect stay!
I booked this lovely cottage to stay in the night before my wedding and it was perfect. The bungalow was spotless, 5* hotel standard towels, bedding, finishing touches etc. The garden was lovely although I didn't get time to use it. There were fresh flowers, champagne, food and drink in the fridge for us to use. Fiona the host went out of her way to help make my stay the best it could be including offering to drive us to the venue and offering to help in any other way she could. Thank you so much I would definitely book again and recommend to anyone else wanting to stay in the area.

THE VILLAGE
EAST SUSSEX, KENT AND BEYOND
It is impossible to mention all of the beautiful places to visit in East Sussex, but here are just a few examples:
The famous Bluebell Railway is one of the finest preserved steam railways in the country.
Wilderness Wood and cafe is located in the next village.
The many National Trust properties in the area include Sheffield Park, Wakehurst Place and Batemans, Rudyard Kipling's former home.
Drusillas Park is great fun for the children!
The very different coastal resorts of Eastbourne and Brighton are both around 40 minutes away by car. Eastbourne is sedate and neat; Brighton is vibrant and energetic!
Tunbridge Wells and its traditional shopping area, The Pantiles, is around 30 minutes' drive.
The old county town of Lewes and its castle are within 20 minutes drive. Glyndebourne, home of the famous opera house, is a similar distance away.
Buxted Park Hotel, a popular venue for weddings, is a five minute drive away.
The Buxted Inn and The White Hart, two pubs which are very well-reviewed for their food, are both within walking distance.
For those who like country walks, The South Downs and Ashdown Forest are easily accessible by car. If you prefer not to drive at all, it is easy to walk from the property to join The Vanguard Way, which passes through the village and is a popular country walk and route to Ashdown Forest.
The village shop is a five minute walk.
Piltdown Golf Club and East Sussex National Golf Club are both within six miles.
