This was second time we’ve stayed at Quarnford in a family group of 20. It is a great house for a large group - every bedroom has a bathroom, the communal spaces are generous and allow for people gathering, the kitchen is very well equipped, and there are games/sports to keep people occupied. Although the outdoor space is relatively limited to a courtyard garden where the BBQ is, the owners have improved it since the last time we stayed by laying AstroTurf and converting it into a games area with plenty of equipment to keep everyone happy! Communication with the owner Peter has always been very prompt and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone looking for a large property to stay in.

We spent a big family Christmas (22 of us) at this property and it was brilliant. Plenty of space for the children to run around and a great log fire to relax by in the evenings. Great kitchen facilities where we cooked Christmas lunch for us all. Not far from Buxton town centre so managed to go to the garden pavilions, which has a great park for the children. Can’t recommend the property enough. Both Pete and Mark were really helpful with any questions we had.

We have just returned from staying at Quarnford Lodge after celebrating my birthday with friends. The place could not have suited us better, 10 bedrooms lots of space for relaxing a lovely well equipped kitchen. I also used The Dinner Party company for our meal on Saturday night and also can’t recommend them enough, gorgeous food served in the wonderful spacious dining area. Just perfect Could not recommend highly enough.

Had the best long weekend at the lodge with a large group of us reunited after covid. Pete was really fantastic and quick to respond to all messages, checkin was easy and efficient. The location was excellent, really close to Buxton with some great walks on the door step, no houses too close so noise was not an issue. The house itself was perfect for large groups, really big open living and dining excellent for evenings together and big meals/discos. Rooms were all comfortable and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Definitely recommend!

Quarnford Lodge is the perfect property for gathering together your nearest and dearest. The dining room is the focal point. We are a group of 9 adults and 13 children and being able to all sit to eat at the same time is a bonus. The log burner adding to the atmosphere. We completed the Three Shires walk on a beautiful frosty morning walk and it was lovely to come back to the fire. The bedrooms with en-suites are comfortable and warm. The kitchen has everything you could ask for. The sound system works great and the tables moved back easily to create the best dance floor to party the night away. The pool table was a huge hit with all ages, we used the DVD player and TVs for a race night and that worked great too. Lots of lovely areas in the house to chill. Finally Mark who showed us round was brilliant and helped us out on our departure when our car broke down. Pete and Marie-Axelle were always on the end of an email when I had questions about the booking.

Booked this property for a large family group to celebrate an 80th birthday. The guests were aged 10 months to 87 years and the house worked for everyone. We loved the space, brilliantly equipped kitchen, large dining area and wonderful location. Great that all bedrooms had their own bathroom. We arranged a Tesco delivery for when we arrived and booked Chris The Chef (details on Peak occasions website) to cater for us one evening which was fab. With great walks from the door we couldn't have asked for more.

The lodge was very spacious and the en-suite rooms made it a perfect venue for our group of families with older children and adults. We loved the local walks from the door and also had a great BBQ on the enormous grill outside! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. We hope to return!

The accommodation is amazing, very clean, welll equipped kitchen, fantastic dining area, a real party house for a birthday celebration with family and friends, great location in the Peak District National Park, walks, pubs.......highly recommend

A fantastic weekend for 24 family and friends including children and a dog ! The weather was dreadful so we never left the lodge but we didn’t need to. We had Tesco deliver our weekend shopping for when we arrived and never went out again. Plenty of room for everyone and more than enough equipment in the kitchen to manage a big group. It was fab to have 2 toasters and 2 dish washers. It made everything so much easier. Great size bedrooms and bathrooms all nice and private. The team provide plenty of basics such as toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, tea coffee and sugar. There is an Aldi and a Waitrose 10 mins away if you need them We saw a lovely little pub a five minute walk away but we didn’t get out due to the rain! Comfy beds and no nearby neighbours so you can make as much noise as you like. Plenty of parking and although on a main road you don’t hear it. Lovely semi remote location We will definitely go back. The house was just perfect for our walking group's annual weekend away in the Peak District National Park. 19 adults fitted in very comfortably. Accommodation excellent, kitchen great for self catering - even when everyone was in there. The dining room enabled everyone to sit together for meals. Every room ensuite bar one - the accessible one but that had its own shower room. Karaoke kept everyone entertained! and the quizes etc provided in the lounge led to team competitions and a great deal of laughter.
