Nestled in the picturesque village of Draycott. Sleight View House is a stylish, well presented 3 bedroom detached holiday home with wonderful views of the Mendip Hill Sleights.
This luxury accommodation has been recently refurbished and includes a new fully fitted kitchen / diner. The contemporary bedrooms and living space benefit from free wifi / broadband and flat screen tv`s in two of the bedrooms and one in the lounge for 'home to home' comforts and enjoyment with high standards. A south facing conservatory opening onto the patio with charcoal bbq and seating, provided for use on warm sunny days for that unforgettable retreat. For the cooler evenings there is full gas central heating and gas fire.
Yvonne's hospitality is second to none. Nothing is too much effort for her. The house is the perfect home away from home for a stay in Somerset. This is our second stay, and would recommend to anyone. We have two small children (age 1 and 4) who were equally at home at Sleight View as the adults.

Superb Accommodation
What a beautiful property. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay welcoming.. beautiful hamper with local goodies..The property is perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful area of The Mendips and surrounding areas. Would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be visiting again very soon. Five stars all the way 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Just Perfect!
Sleight View House is simply beautiful! The views from front & back are very picturesque. The house is like stepping foot into a show home, all furnishings & decor top end. Spotlessly clean too. Everything you could possibly need to enjoy a well earned break. The kitchen welcome hamper & beauty packages left in bedroom were a lovely surprise, very thoughtful.
This house is perfectly situated for Wells & Cheddar & your coastal locations & beautiful Bath not far in the car or a good bus service is easily accessible from the top of the road.
Cannot recommend this rental enough, cannot wait to return. Thank you Yvonne & Becky for looking after us x

Exceptional home from home
We have had the most wonderful time at Sleight View. We wanted somewhere to adopt as a home for Christmas in order to host festivities with family - it was absolutely perfect. From Yvonne's friendly welcome, to the little details like tinsel around the picture frames, the welcome hamper and a little present for our 2 year old, everything was thought through with care.
The kitchen has plenty of surface space, pots, pans and dishes - we were successfully able to cook a full Christmas dinner.
The Christmas tree was absolutely beautiful and my daughter loved hunting out the chocolates Yvonne had left hanging there.
I couldn't recommend Sleight View more strongly. We would love to come back and host family again there.

Fantastic Accommodation!
Spent a week here at the end of October and on arrival was greeted by Yvonne into a warm and welcoming house. The Welcome Basket was a lovely gesture and promoted local produce.
The property includes excellent quality products, eg towels and slippers and is a great place to go back to at the end of a busy day.
The property is well located for attractions and there's plenty to do within an hour's drive.
Would certainly think about returning at some point in the future.

Excellent 5 star holiday home
Wow what a lovely place to stay we have stayed at a lot of holiday homes and by far we can say this is the best one we have ever stayed in. It really was 5 star, super quiet neighbourhood, comfy beds everything you need for a home from home stay, after a family bereavement this was just what I needed a few days away in a relaxing comfortable home. Yvonne is the perfect host, met us at the house and we were greeted with a wonderful hamper that we throughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back.

Exceptional
This house is absolutely lovely. Very, very tastefully decorated and furnished. Everything provided for comfort. Amazing welcome pack - hamper with cheese, savoury biscuits, crisps, chutney. Cider and Proscetto, bottled water, fresh juice and milk. Coffee, biscuits etc etc. Never seen such a lovely welcome pack. Yvonne is the perfect hostess, kind, helpful and charming. I would rate everything 20 out of 10 !!!!

Amazing Accomodation!
As others have mentioned this is a mid-sized three bedroom detached house in the village of Draycott about 2 miles from Cheddar (where most services including supermarkets) can be found.
The listing says it's been recently refurbished - and consequently everything is totally spotless, and there's a new kitchen plus a very swish bathroom! We were a party of three cyclists so we were kindly given access to the shed in the back garden to store our bikes. The Strawberry Line starts in Cheddar so this was a great location for the route.
Other advantages of the property include:
• Parking for two cars on driveway
• Very fast wifi
• All linens, towels, vanity pack and slippers!
• Great communication from hosts who met us on arrival to show us around and also on departure.
• Best welcome pack we’ve seen.
• Comfortable beds
• 2 front door keys were supplied.
We’d suggest two very minor enhancements:
• Details of local recycling regime to be left in the kitchen (the area seems to have a unique system!)
• Instructions for the operation of the kitchen appliances would good – we struggled for a few minutes to operate the modern cooker.
Overall a stunning place to stay and we'd strongly recommended.

Superb Accommodation
I am not one to write reviews but felt on this occasion I must. 100% from arrival to departure. On arrival guests are presented with the loveliest welcome pack, which is greatly appreciated after a long journey. The standard of the cleanliness of Sleigh View House is outstanding. The overall comfort is exceptional. We will definitely return and look forward to the friendly welcome of the owner.
