Although it's a hill town, its center at the top of the hill is flat. The central piazza, originally the Roman forum, has several beautiful medieval buildings. Sights are close together and there are good places to linger, enjoying the views or the ambiance. Todi or the surrounding countryside would make a good base for visiting southern Umbria.<BR><BR>Todi is in the southern part of the Umbria region, the region in the center of Italy. Like neighboring Tuscany, Umbria is dotted with hill towns but has fewer tourists. It's easy to visit as a day trip from nearby towns like Spoleto (44km), Orvieto (38km), or Perugia (46km). Todi is near the Tiber River overlooking the Tiber Valley.<BR><BR>Additional Information: The house is perfect for 1-4 adults (there are two double beds). Families with infants or children over 4 are OK.The house is not suitable for toddlers and the very elderly as there are steep stairs.<BR><BR>Pets are not allowed. <BR>Non smokers only please.<BR><BR>The house has iPod speakers to play any iPod. There is no TV, Internet or phone. It's recommended you bring a mobile phone. Internet service can be purchased and/or there is WiFi available in town.<BR><BR>Food markets, post office, shops, restaurants and cafés are within walking or driving distance.<BR><BR>Parking outside the house is free.<BR>

It is 1 1/2 hrs north of Rome and 2 hrs south of Florence. Todi has a wonderful, lively and friendly vibe. It is known for it's art, history, cuisine, beautiful views and one of the largest piazzas in italy.
