Blackbeck Tarn offers a great base for both couples and families to explore the Lakes. Positioned close to the public foot path at the top of the estate and a short distance from the onsite facilities including; swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and ping pong table. (SWIMMING POOL AND FACILITIES CLOSED BETWEEN 12/11 - 01/3 )
Set amongst peaceful woodland on a private estate within the Lake District National Park, Blackbeck Tarn is the perfect location for a relaxing break. After a long hike on the fells what better way to relax then in your own wooden alpine style lodge, or why not head down to one of two traditional pubs which are within walking distance from Neaum Crag Estate.

The lodge offers excellent and comfortable facilities and is ideally located to explore the Lakeland fells. We enjoyed our weeks trip and the friendly and helpful site management team were always keen to help. We thoroughly recommend the lodge and will revisit Blackbeck Tarn again...More

Blackbeck lodge is set in 18 acres of woodland. Neaum Crag Estate is a hidden gem at the foot of the Langdale Valley. Close to the Villages of, Ambleside,Coniston and Grasmere , which are all within walking distance (40 min walk to Ambleside) 10 min car journey.
Whether your looking for local attractions to keep the kids entertained or looking for a holiday offering back to nature,with bird watching and red squirrel sightings daily, Blackbeck lodge offers all of this from the door step.
Getting around
A vehicle is recommended for getting here, once here you can park the car up and leave it for the week. With walking in all directions from the lodge, a local bus route which passes by hourly in the Summer holidays, or get a taxi using one of the local taxi services from Ambleside.

Car - 30-45 minute drive from the M6 Motorway.

Train- the nearest station is Windermere, which is about 20 minutes away. Buses and taxis are available from Windermere train station. There is also a very good supermarket at the station, Booths supermarket.

Plane - The main airport is Manchester. Which has a direct rail connection to Windermere train station.
