    Reservations are from Saturday to Saturday. The owners live on-site, speak English and French and are happy to give you help and advice, if needed. The swimming-pool is heated with a heat pump and its temperature varies from 26 to 30 degrees. Guests are invited for an informal welcome drink in the garden during peak season.

    Very well-appointed gite, fabulous location, excellent pool, lovely hosts.

    Quiet location in lovely village

    Great, interesting totally excellent GITE

    The gite was just what we were looking for and it suited the two of us perfectly. The swimming pool on site was ideal on the very hot days and the local Super U was only a short trike ride (see photos on website) away...More

    About the neighborhood
    The Vendee has many great opportunities for cycling, swimming, fishing, sailing, sunbathing, surfing and walking. The Normandelière at Brétignolles sur-mer is a great beach with a créperie in the dunes. There is also a sea lake nearby which is ideal for young children. Other great beaches include the Grande Plage at St Gilles, and the famous bow shaped beach at Les Sables d'Olonne. There are miles of new cycle paths along the coast and through the countryside. If you like rambling, you will enjoy the scenic lake Jaunay. The Puy du Fou Park is one of the most famous attractions the Vendée has to offer and is only a 70 minute drive from Dolphin Gites.
    How to get there
    Fly or drive? The choice is yours. You can fly into Nantes and hire a car, or you can drive from the UK crossing the Channel by ferry or tunnel. We are located about 3 hours drive from the Channel port of St Malo, and about half a day's drive from the other main ports of Cherbourg, Caen and Le Havre, 7 hours from Calais.There are daily flights to and from Nantes airport from the UK, USA and Ireland. You can fly into Nantes, hire a car at the airport for the duration of your stay at Dophin Gites. We are about 1 hour's drive from Nantes airport.If you are flying from the UK, look at Flybe, Easyjet or from Ireland, Ryanair for cheap flights.
