It also includes two TVs, with cable and wifi, a beach wagon and beach toys, and funky beach bikes if you want them. Nice breakfast sunshine in the kitchen and beautiful sunsets from the living room and lanai. It has a delightful pool just a walk across the garden, a common community room with library of books to read, and is located just a few blocks from Siesta Key Village. The building is relatively small with only owners and longer-term renters, so it is quiet and does not house the weekend or weekly party crowds found in many other Siesta Key condos. While we recognize that most people consider January through April to be peak season in Florida, please consider that May and November-December also offer the benefit of good weather without the traffic and crowds. And, for those of you who love summer at the beach, consider a summer rental. We have a monthly rental rule, but you need not spend every day of a month at the condo; our rental rates will be adjusted according to your schedule. Please be aware that we give our current high-season guests the right-of-first-refusal for the same month next year. As a result, we will not know until at least the middle of January, February, March and April whether the condo will be available for that month a year out. Thus, the calendar for the four high-season months might not always accurately reflect availability. Dates showing availability any other month are not reserved and always can be booked immediately. Interaction with guests
As we are often out of town, our unit is professionally managed by Stephanie Deshaies and Loretta Bauman of Premier Sotheby's International Realty of Sarasota. They not only handle all the paperwork, but also are a great source of information and provide our guests with fabulous local support should any issues arise during a stay. We also provide a book of local information inside the condo. Please reach out to Stephanie or Loretta or e-mail me if you are interested or have any questions about booking this rental.

About the neighborhood
You could not be closer to Siesta Key Beach, rated #1 in the country, and home to not only the famously powdered-sugar soft sand and glorious sunsets, but also the wide beach and wonderful water. This beach is also the site of various types of local entertainment, including beach volleyball game tournaments, sand sculpture festivals and many other events. The condo is just a few blocks from Siesta Key Village, with plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you occupied during your stay. Also, it is mid-island, so not far from the Stickney Point Bridge, which will take you to all the shopping and other restaurants you could possibly want or need during your stay.
Getting around
Once here, we rarely drive. When we head into the Village for dinner, we walk either along the beach to watch the sunset, or on the road behind the condo for a 'short-cut' through the neighborhoods. And we often frequent the local market in the village for both groceries and ready-made meals. We also ride our weather-worn bikes around for exercise. Of course, you can drive if you prefer, but there are free shuttle buses and tip-only 'free' taxis that will take you anywhere on the island, so you need never run the risk of driving after drinking. That said, if you are a big shopper, or plan on doing many activities off the island, you likely will want a car even though there are public buses to many places.
