A cosy, self contained loft apartment with amazing views across Nottinghamshire countryside. Situated in a private location in the historic grounds of what used to be the National Church School in Blidworth, we are close to Robin Hood's legendary Sherwood Forest and a great base for cyclists and walkers. Ideal for couples or business travellers. Excellent pubs, restaurants & shops within walking distance. Off-road parking for one vehicle, wifi, good transport links to M1 and Nottingham.

Lovely village with most conveniences. Easy access to local buses to travel to Nottingham, Sherwood Forest and other attractions. The rental was equipped with all we needed for our stay. Perfect sized kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and scenic country views. Jane is a fantastic host.

We are located in the historic area of old Blidworth. Blidworth is in the heart of Nottinghamshire, close to Sherwood Forest, and is steeped in history and legend about the infamous Robin Hood & his band of Merry Men - Will Scarlett is allegedly buried in Blidworth churchyard. Easy access to Newstead Abbey, Rufford Abbey, Nottingham Castle & The City of Caves, and many more interesting places to visit!
Getting around
10 minutes to J27 M1. Hucknall, Mansfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield train stations are all within 7 miles of Blidworth with good connections to Nottingham, Worksop and Mansfield Woodhouse. We have 2 bus services in the village (141 and 28 buses) - the 141 stops outside The Old School Loft. Nottingham is 12 miles or a 30 minute drive away.

We are only 27 miles from East Midlands airport. J27 M1 is the closest motorway junction (approx 15 minutes drive). Nottingham, Mansfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield are the nearest train stations.
