Interaction with guestsOur guests have been some of the nicest, respectful people from around the globe. We've become good friends to many and neighbors to those who have purchased homes nearby. We live in a charming Bungalow home next door. We respect our guests privacy, but are happy to answer any questions, offer recommendations and happy to assist or interact with our guests. Close enough for any needs you may have, yet far enough away to be unobtrusive.

Serene, stylish St Pete self contained suite
Lovely deluxe suite within lush garden surrounds in the historic, charming Old North East neighbourhood. The brick paved residential streets are narrow and shaded by many trees. This accommodation is well maintained, pristine, elegantly decorated and very comfortable. It has everything the traveller needs - a fully equipped, stylish kitchen with stainless steel appliances,, air conditioning units and fans, beautiful couch and sitting area, very comfortable bed, good hot shower. Wine and snacks awaited us; there are towels. umbrellas for beach and for rain; and access to a laundry on the property. Soothing colour scheme of blues, creams, and aquamarine, with coastal themed artworks and Art Deco green ceramic vases and pots. There’s a parking spot right near the porch and you can walk to the bayside restaurant and museum area in 15-25 minutes. Don’t miss the new James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art, another fine addition to the great museums in town. Altogether lovely.

Perfection!
Richard has thought of everything a visitor might need and has supplied it. The apartment is better than it appears, as it's not possible to see from the photos how completely equipped it is for cooking and eating in, with dining on the patio. However, there are so many good restaurants to try. Nearby art museums and the arts district around the Chihuly and Morean Arts Center make the walkable downtown extremely attractive. We plan to return for a longer stay!

Perfect!!
The Palm Arbor Suite was a great place to stay. We wanted for nothing. Richard had the suite very well equipped with anything one would need. It was so nice to walk to coffee shops and just simply walk all the streets and see all the wonderfully decorated houses for Halloween. We had a great time and felt very comfortable. We hope to return. It was simply Perfect!!

What a pleasant review. It was great having you both stay. How nice to know all the details I put into the Suite didnt go unnoticed. The Old Northeast is so convenient for strolling to the waterfront, downtown and looking at the vast array of historic and new homes. Hope to see you both again.

Stop your search!
You needn’t look any further for your St Petersburg accommodations! Our experience at Palm Arbor Suites brought “hospitality” to new heights! From the initial booking, through the end of our extended stay, we were presented with the acme of a “home away from home” experience. Although we had a “moving target” kind of booking date due to making a cross country move, our hosts met our fluid schedule with calmness and reassurance. We arrived to find a suite far surpassing Internet pictures and descriptions in every way. The cleanliness, detail and class of decor and household amenities, thoughtfulness of provisions like coffee, water, wine, snacks, and bath accessories, along with lush private gardens far exceeded expectations! Once we walked in the door we felt welcomed! The location could not be better! Walkable to the bay front for amazing sunrises, through the charming historic neighborhoods, to restaurants and bars that offer a plethora of cuisines to satisfy every taste, and to Tropicana stadium for sports fans! Don’t miss having cocktails at The Canopy or visiting Haslam’s Bookstore and the Dali Museum. Area brochures and guides, games, DVD’s, cable, high speed wireless, beach chairs and umbrellas await you to satisfy your curiosities and make your vacation complete in rain or shine! And all the while you can relax as you leave your car in the driveway! Best yet, it is only a quick drive to the beautiful beaches of Fort DeSoto park or St Petersburg beach. The experience at Palm Arbor Suites will be hard to top. Richard and Tom are the consummate hosts who genuinely appreciate their guests. You will arrive as a client and leave as a friend. There is no better memory to have!

WOW!!! This has to be the nicest rave review we've received. It was a pleasure dealing with such lovely people from day one. It's important to us for our guests to feel pampered in a lovely setting. Especially for you both after driving cross country to our temporary home away from home. We are happy your search for a permanent place of your own worked out so well. We also feel we've made new friends with you both. We agree there is no better memory to have! Thank you both....

The Perfect Home-Away-From-Home!
Well what an amazing stay we had at the Palm Arbor Suites in the gorgeous city of St. Petersburg. Richard was simply the perfect host, and it was the little touches which really made this feel like a home-away-from-home rather than just another accommodation provider. Quite literally everything was provided for you - from a emergency frozen pizza in the freezer and a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge, to a fully stocked medicine cabinet for all your toiletry supplies. The apartment's decor was so thoughtfully designed, and comfortable - we really didn't need to leave the apartment at all! But of course the location is also a standout feature, being just a few minutes walk from cafe's, bars, and all the glossy shops and museums of downtown. The historic NorthEast part of the city is just full of gorgeous old houses which have been faithfully restored, and we thoroughly enjoyed our many relaxing walks around the area in the cool of the evening. The Suite is literally stocked with every possible appliance and cooking utensil you could ever need, so catering for yourself is an easy and cheap option, but I would definitely recommend exploring the delicious range of restaurants in the downtown area too if your budget allows. Having access to a full laundry right at the back of the suite was also greatly appreciated, especially as we had travelled half way around the world - nothing beats having a fresh start before heading on to the next leg of your journey. We would highly recommend the Palm Arbor Suite to anybody looking for a calm, peaceful, relaxing place to stay. Having travelled to many corners of the world, this is the nicest place I have ever had the pleasure to staying at. Many lovely memories remain of our 5 nights in St. Pete's - and we look forward to making it back there again one day soon to once again enjoy your kind and gracious hospitality! Thanks so much. :)

About the neighborhood
St. Petersburg is a beautiful thriving city filled with so much to see and do. Museums abound. Dali museum, Modern Art Museum, Holocaust Museum, Chihuly Glass Collection and opening soon will be the largest Arts and Crafts Museum in the country. This private collector has travelled the country to seek a location to build his amazing museum to host this collection. He chose St Petersburg due to its vast assortment of Craftsman Style Bungalow Homes and our beautiful location and the cities love of the arts.
Getting around
You can walk to downtown and local restaurants and our beautiful bay beach and parks. A walk to the beach or downtown is a pleasant walk of about 15 minutes or less depending on your walking speed. I do it in 10 minutes. We recommend a car if interested in seeing other sites and ocean beaches. Bus lines are available a few blocks away. Bicycles can be rented all over town either from bike shops or bike stations throughout the city. Pinellas bike trail starts in St Petersburg and goes for over 40 miles.
