This 16 unit resort has been completely renovated in a manner that we are confident you will agree has transformed the community into THE premier fishing destination in the Tampa Bay area. Our resort is truly a step back into "Old Florida" --yet with all the modern conveniences we've come to rely on. A lush tropical landscape and beautiful waterfront views. Each unit is resort-style furnished with full kitchens and a private courtyard for entertaining and BBQ grills available. Wireless internet. Pets welcome at $25 per pet/per stay. Our stay
We stayed for 10 days end of 2015 into 2016 with our dog's and loved it. Tucked back off the road and along the canal. Well maintained and owners are great. Would recommend to anyone. Private but convenient to get anywhere

A great little place to stay!
Stayed at pirates point resort for a week with my dog in tow. She loved the place as did I. Small quiet & some great places to eat close by. Great staff as well. Would go there again next year. If I could improve it, I would have liked a screen door to help it open up the studio I rented. Also the mosquitoes were terrible, maybe some spraying would help!

Hi Pamela, thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your suggestion about the screen doors and unfortunately its gotten warmer, earlier this year, so the regular maintenance spraying for mosquitoes has to move with it. Done. A Little Gem of a Place, Peaceful, Quiet and Pet Friendly
Pirates point is in an unlikely location, tucked behind a mobile home park on the Little Manatee River. When you enter the little resort you are greeted by Tom or Tammie, the warm and friendly owners, and surrounded by the lush tropical landscape.
The grounds are well maintained, as is the lovely quiet pool. Our unit was small but spotless, with a complete kitchen (small fridge), a comfortable bed, and two reading/TV chairs. Best of all was our very private fenced patio, surrounded by plants where our little dog loved hanging out with us.
The dock is lovely and the river was great for canoeing (rental at the resort). Cabins do not have a view of the river but the dock is just steps away, a friendly gathering place, great for fishing and socializing. Many of the guests come for several weeks. Maybe we'll do that next time!

Sweet little river spot!
My husband and I stayed at Pirate's Pointe Resort for our anniversary weekend (2 nights) and we had wonderful time! Cottage #1807 was our home for the trip and it was very charming. It had everything we needed, pots and pans, paper towels, dishes, dishwashing detergent for the dishwasher, soap, etc. We did forget to bring cooking oil but ran next door and owner Tom graciously provided some. He and his wife live on site and were extremely accommodating. Cable wasn't working but we weren't bothered by that. The floors needed a little sweeping but otherwise, everything was clean and tidy!
My husband said the resort felt like its own little secluded village. We brought our 22 ft boat and trailer, Tom pointed us to a nearby boat ramp and gave us very detailed instructions and a map of how to ride the river back to the resort to dock our boat there. Then he rode with my husband back to pick up the truck and trailer to park at the resort. The community pool was very clean and beautiful. The landscaping was lush and tropical. One afternoon we sat at the pool and counted all the different types of palm trees (we think 10+!)
Riding the boat up and down little Manatee River was so fun. Its idle speed so a nice,relaxing ride until you get closer to Tampa Bay. Bring the bug spray, the noseeums in the morning and afternoon were out heavily in October! To be expected at this location on the water, we knew this beforehand so it didn't bother us. I will say however that up by our cottage, a minute walk from the dock on the water, the bugs were far less significant. We could still sit outside without being swarmed.
They have quite a few cottages available, including one with a roof top deck and one with a private pool! We will definitely be back, next time with friends and family! Thanks for a lovely getaway!
