There are beautiful gardens on three sides of the cottage, all with lovely views of the surrounding countryside, and parking is freely available on a wide grass verge outside the property. The cottage is perfect for a family or group of friends seeking peace and tranquillity in a historic property, with all the attractions of the Cotswolds and Shakespeare Country on the doorstep. The cottage was absolutely beautiful - I was the envy of everyone I knew based on the pictures I shared. What really impressed me was how modern the kitchen, bath, heating, electricity, etc were while still keeping the feeling of living in a 17th century...More

Enchanting cottage in a picturesque location. Very well equipped and not far from both Broadway and Chipping Campden. Loved the open fire, but would have found the option to buy more firewood helpful.

It is a real treat to stay at this property - it feels like a home rather than a rental . I was amazed at how spacious the rooms were for such an old property. The renovation has been done sympathetically so you get the...More

About the neighborhood
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone 'wool churches'. The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
Getting around
The Cotswolds is a rural location and whilst there is access to public transport, it is highly recommended that you have a car.
