The De Soto Street House in Downtown Pensacola

Overview
Rental Home -
2 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 6
Pensacola, Florida
The De Soto house is located in beautiful, historic North Hill in downtown Pensacola. It is just about 1 mile to the start of the shopping area, Wahoo Stadium, and all downtown dining, and entertainment. There is a beautiful park right next to the house, with swings, and the area is great for walking or running. The house is a remodeled stucco bungalow built in the 1930's. It is completely up to date, and very comfortable. There is also a basement workout and playroom. We are about 20 minutes from beautiful Pensacola Beach. There are beds for 4 people. The Master bedroom has a Queen bed, and the second bedroom has 2 Single beds. There is a pull out couch in the livingroom, and one in the sun room. There is a playpen provided if you need it. We provide dish and washer soaps, pillows, blankets, towels... I live just a few blocks away,... Read more

The house had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked, the house was clean and newly updated. It was in a good central location that was just minutes away from everywhere we were going. There is a park just down the street and the...More

About the neighborhood
The neighborhood is right in the historic district. There are houses from the turn of the century through today. There are businesses, churches, and parks throughout the neighborhood. It is a true downtown neighborhood. You will see shotgun houses, mixed in with stately manors. There are even some new houses being built! It is a very tight knit community people still sit on porches and chat. The neighbors are diverse mostly long term residents kind respectful and neighborly.
Getting around
Many places for shopping, churches entertainment, restaurants and bars are downtown. We walk down often with our neighbors, but I have noticed that a lot of our cutomers are not used to walking in a downtown area. An Uber ride to downtown is about $5 if you don't feel like walking. Parking is available too, if not too many events are going on. Our favorite place to park for the beach is the church parking lot at Avenida 18. There is no lifeguard, but it is very nice.
