Great location - a quiet oasis while still being very close to restaurants, bars, nightlife, and shopping. We felt well cared for by the owners who provided timely contact and helpful information as we prepared for our stay.

Key West oasis
The townhouse was just as nice as all the pictures and video portrayed it to be. It is nestled in Truman Annex, what was once a gated community but is now a bit busier due to some thru traffic on Southard St. into Truman Waterfront Park and the state park beach area close by. It is still very quiet at night as the partiers stay at the resorts or on the other side of Old Town. It is a 10 minute walk to Mallory for the sunsets. and only a couple of blocks off Duval for the nightlife. The Green Parrot is two blocks away. And we used public transportation alot because of the price ($2.50 for my wife and I to ride anywhere on the island, one way). Clean and comfortable thru the Key West rides app. The Southard/Whitehead stop is only two blocks away. If you're not leaving the island, don't waste your money on a rental car. The state park beach is a short bike ride away (less than 5 minutes) and only costs $2.50 to bike/walk in. It is a nice beach area with plenty to see with a mask and snorkel. Also concessions (albeit food and drink in Key West is very overpriced).
The Annex does have a couple of pools. But the water temp in the closest one was 91F and not very refreshing. But, heck, the ocean was 88F...
The Kassars were such good hosts, from the initial inquiry to promptly responding to my questions about the unit while we were there. I talked to Jim a couple of times before the trip and once during the trip. Otherwise text messages were answered very promptly.
The unit itself is very nicely presented as a tropical getaway. Two bedrooms upstairs, each with a small but nice bathroom. The master bedroom is a bit tight because of the size of the bed, but the closet is ample. Our son stayed in the second bedroom, and he said it was quite comfortable. That is the bedroom with a single bed that converts to a double.
The bathroom downstairs is a simple half bath, but it saves you from having to go upstairs.
The kitchen is nicely furnished with all the tools a cook would need. The appliances are new and in great working order. The fridge has an icemaker and water dispenser, which proved to be a godsend as it was jungle hot and humid when we were there. There isn't the usual mishmash of plates, glasses and silverware. The Kassars have provided matching sets of all, which makes the place feel more like home. And stainless steel cookware!! It was free of leftover spices and such which meant everything we used would be freshly purchased by ourselves. We used the outside grill a few times and it functioned nicely, other than the second burner is tough to get lit following the instructions.
The patio was nice, clean, cozy. The overhead fans were on every time we went outside because of the heat. They were a blessing creating an artificial breeze.
The WIFI worked great all thru our stay. The TVs were a little challenging with two remotes, but we didn't watch alot anyway. Did we miss the instructions for using two remotes? We didn't look very hard 😊. There is a selection of books and magazines, also. There are two bikes with combo locks. They are a bit on the used side, but you feel more like a local that way. Reliable transport. The tires needed air, but we just took them a couple of blocks to the bike rental and the gent was nice enough to fill them for us (we did rent a third bike from him).
We rented a car for a couple of days and there is one covered space for the townhouse. It is kinda narrow, so I recommend backing in as opposed to pulling in. Also, if you have a moped, you cant leave that in front of the car. You'll get a ticket.
The townhouse was great for the three of us, but in my opinion any more than four might seem crowded.
If you're coming to Key West, I would highly recommend this townhouse for your stay.

A fantastic place to stay in Key West
This was the second time that my family have stayed at Casa Del Sol in Key West. It is a lovely house that is in a fantastic location. The house is very well equipped and has been recently upgraded and redecorated. If you want a great place to stay in Key West we couldn’t recommend anywhere better. Communication with the owners of the property was very friendly and helpful prior to and during our stay.

Superb experience
I have rented this unit many times and it never fails to live up to expectations. The location cannot be topped. So close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. The unit has everything you need for a great vacation. Over the last 27 years I have rented several different places, but none top Casa Del Sol. I would recommend it to anyone looking for the best possible Key West experience.

Lovely stay- close to everything
There were three of us who stayed at the house. So much space for us! The house was so cute and cozy we had everything we needed. It was walking distance to everything! We had no car for the week and were able to get everywhere we needed to!!
The hosts were amazing. So helpful easy to work with and was available to help in any way we needed! Would highly recommend this place for a stay!!!

Clean,comfortable condo in perfect location with responsive owners
We stayed at We stayed at Casa Del Sol in December 2022. As others have said, it is in a great location which is close to the Green Parrot, Ft. Zach beach and all the action on Duval street (when you want that). This unit is comfortable, well appointed, quiet and clean. It has two bathrooms upstairs (one in each bedroom) and a half bath downstairs which seems rare in the Porter Lane properties. It is REALLY nice to not have to walk upstairs for a bathroom! We have stayed in a lot of condos in Truman Annex and this is the first one with truly adequate storage in the bathrooms (so you can actually unpack and not live out of a toiletries bag). The bikes were well maintained and we used them daily. The owners were great to work with - communicative and responsive. The shared pool is heated which was much appreciated since we were there during Winter Storm Elliot! Lovely rental and attentive hosts. I recommend it.

Another wonderful vacation
I have stayed at this property numerous times when taking my family to Key West. The location is awesome and walkable to shops, restaurants, and night life. It is always kept clean. We had another great stay in Key West and would recommend this property to family and friends. Jim and Joanne are easy to work with. I am sure I will be back again.

Best in Key West
Casa del Sol is in the perfect location! Walk to Mallory Square, restaurants, bars, shops. Close to the beach. Quaint, beautiful, and private neighborhood. Casa del Sol is immaculate. Fun little patio for grilling,morning breakfast, and happy hour. Jim is super responsive and eager to take care of any questions or issues along the way.
HIGHLY recommend. We will not look any where else on our next visit to Key West. !!

Hosts and Communication is the Best!
We stayed 7 days in Key West in this lovely condo/villa. It is centrally located to all of the sites and fun of Key West, but what truly made our stay so special is the the extraordinary customer service we received from the owners Jim and Joanne. They are fabulous! From the moment we booked and even after our stay, their communication, information and sincere care we felt from them truly set our stay apart from previous visits we have made to Key West.
They are "First - Rate" hosts and we definitely will come back to stay at Casa Del Sol. :) Best of the Best!
