Beautiful Gulfport Beach is walking distance as our restaurants, bars and grocery stores. We have an Art walk twice a month, the first Friday and 3rd Saturday. During that time the streets are lit up with candles and lighting. Music in the streets. The streets are closed and vendors are selling handmade items. Every Tuesday is open market day. Selling Gourmet cheeses, hand made soaps, clothing ect.. Gulfport is an eclectic beach town filled with many beautiful offerings. Incredible art gallerys with local artists show casing there works. Gulfport should be walked or biked to truely appreciate its beauty. From the hand painted murals on the homes to the large open porches. We are one of the oldest cities and Do have haunted homes. We also have a ghost tour here.
We have so much to see here from our funky restaurants to open air bars across from the beach to volley ball. We have a large library and local theatre. One of the oldest Post Offices is housed in an antique curio shop. Huge fishing pier. Kayack rentals on beach.
We are walking distance to the Marina and Clam Bayou park. The bike trail is just down the street. We have bikes for your use. Our restaurants include O'Maddys which open air dining at its best. Beautifully situated across the street from the Pier, Pegs Cantina great Meican food,La Cote Basque for french, Stellas for breakfast and lunch, a new pizza restaurant, Cousins, which is the best pizza I've had since leaving N.Y. There are museums close including Chihuly and Dali. Busch Gardens is about 40 minutes away and Disney about 1.5hrs.
In terms of location we are 30 minutes from Tampa airport, 15 minutes from downtown St.Petersburg and 15-30 minutes from the larger beaches such as Treasure Island,St.Petersburg,Madiera or Cleawater. Tampa International Mall is 20 minutes away and Tyrone Mall about 10 minutes away.There are so many things to see and do here I just can't write them all. We have beach chairs, beach towels,iron,fishing rods everything you need for a great vacation. The house is fully furninshed with a beautiful 19x30 ft patio complete with bar,fire pit, electric grill, lounge chairs for your private use. We have both cable and Wifi. My husband and I enjoyed our two week stay at this lovely guesthouse. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The guesthouse is very comfortable and within walking distance of the local beach, shops, restaurants and bars. We especially liked the large private outdoor patio with gas grill, large table, chairs and lounges. The yard has a variety of beautiful trees and plants. The owners are friendly and responsive. A washer and dryer is available on site. Gulfport is a charming “old Florida” town that has everything you need and within easy driving distance of downtown St Petersburg, Tampa, Sarasota, Clearwater and many of the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.

Beautiful guesthouse
We walked through the French doors a beautiful home We walked through the living room and placed out bags down and hoped for some oil in the refrigerator. Stephanie has left us beer, a bottle of wine and 2 beers plus a cold plate of fruit and cheese. Well needed after our trip. I must say the pictures did not do it justice It was beautifully decorated. Very beach. The patio was large with a grill that we took advantage of. We also used the beach bikes to ride through this charming town. The restaurants were all great. We have to come back. There wasn’t enough time to enjoy them all. It was so quiet at night and that was the most comfortable bed we have slept in in ages. We will definitely be back. Thank you Stephanie and Cherry for your hospitality

it is really run down and pests
There are many other nicer places, we did not know, we had to experience bugs, to motion lights coming on throughout the night, the owners rudeness and their dog and cats, the smell, NO parking the paint was peeling, small 24" table to eat, mold in the bathroom, need I say more!
honestly, they have money, spend it on your customers, so they can enjoy there stay

Sorry about the motion light and Florida does have bugs luckily not in our house but yes outside. Mosquitoes are bad this year but we have the property sprayed regularly. We do a a 9 pound inside dog and a 12 pound outside cat. We state that in our advertising. There is a lift table in front of the couch and a small dining space also and a 6 person table on the patio. The guesthouse had just been painted inside and out with new
furniture I do apologize if it was not your taste. I have checked for mold and have not found any but the bathroom is currently being removed. We also just put an entirely new roof and raised it 2 inches. We have a lot of wildlife in Gulfport including chickens walking down our street and squirrels and opossums. I hope your next visit to Gulfport is better. We are a small beach and artistic community. Parking was on the left side of the driveway as always. I’m sorry if you had a difficult time parking in it. I offer our most sincere apologies and hope your next visit to Gulfport is more to your liking

This place was amazing! Great location fully stocked pristine clean everything you could need is there! We cant say enough about the owners Stephanie and Cherry they are truly amazing ladies! Our extended family and friends were welcome when we entertained on the awesome outside patio a perfect place to relax and enjoy the weather! You cant go wrong here it's close to everything! Thank you ladies for making our vacation a hit we cant wait to return!!

Truly is a “Lovely Guesthouse”
Great location with access to downtown Gulfport and beach by walking, car or Go-cart! The Guesthouse has all the comforts of home including a great yard with shade and a sea breeze. Owners Stephanie was very friendly and attentive. We definitely recommend the “Lovely Guesthouse” and would stay there again..

Wonderful place
My husband and I rented this little jewel of paradise in January 2018. It is a great place to stay. I felt right at home in this adorable little cottage. It was clean and well stocked with everything you need. The decor was beautiful, and the beds super comfortable. The private garden was peaceful, private, not to mention beautiful. Everything is within walking distance if you wish, or easy to navigate in your car, or ride your bicycle (which the cottage provides). The neighborhood is very safe.
Stephanie, and Cherry went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They are two of the nicest people we have rented from (and we have rented several properties). We will definitely rent this little piece of paradise again! We fell in love with it! You can't go wrong if you choose to stay here!

Great place to relax
The Lovely Guesthouse was a great place to Relax. It had all the things we needed. 5 minute drive to the beach too. Also close to grocery stores and restaurants. Stephanie B was a very nice host. She checked on us when were having a thunderstorm and had lost power. We will definitely stay there again! Thanks Stephanie!

Fits the Name -- A Lovely Guesthouse!
Spent 3 nights at this cute guesthouse. Everything was just as described. I very much appreciated Stephanie and Cherry's hospitality and desire to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.

Thus was like being at home
We went to Florida to visit my brother who has Cancer. Since he is staying with my brother in Gulfport we deicied to look to stay there.Stephanie and Cherry's place fit the bill to a tee. It is comfortable , homey, beachy and very clean.
The hosts could have not been more accommodating.
Sleeping was a dream on the super comfortable mattress.
The cottage was well equipt with everything you would need to just chill.
We loved coming back and relaxing in our little hamlet.
With the rental comes a spacious patio outfitted with a large umbrellad table which lights up at night and an area with chaises for relaxing, also with umbrellas.
My family was very impressed that we found a comfortable alternative to staying wiht them
We hope to return hopefully celebrating me brother's remission

I stayed at the lovely guesthouse and the owner Stephanie was so cordial and hospitable. She made my stay very comfortable and offered to take me to the supermarket for groceries as I did not rent a vehicle. I felt very safe and secure and got to see a lot of the sites on my own either by walking or the bus service which was very convenient to Madeira Beach. A neighbor also gave me a lift to Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach; and we toured the St. Petersburg area. Stephanie also informed me of the Easter Sunday Brunch which was in downtown Gulfport and it was fantastic; all you could eat buffet et al. I was very grateful.

Small beach town Very Artsy community.. We are on a corner lot one block from the Marina and park. Off street parking. The beach is walkable or you can take the bikes. Restaurants, ice cream stores, shopping , kayaking rentals are all close by as are grocery stores.
