Well heeled travelers looking for upscale resort should rent at the condos across the street as we sometimes cannot meet the expectations of very fancy folks and don't want to as we love families with kids, laid back guests who want to enjoy the beach at a great value and have fun. We are just behind the Condos on the sand, and 2 blocks north of the Sand pearl Hotel. Upscale demanding guests should stay there, fun loving families will share the same world class beach with Capt. Business Center: Our Guest enjoy free of charge our air conditioned business center with Computer,
Copier, Fax Machine, Printer and discount brochures to most Attractions. Coin operated washer and dryer at business center $2.00 per load, or drop off wash and fold across street.
Swimming Pool: We do not have a pool on site, but offer free passes ( 10 maximum for one week guests ) 20 passes for 3 bedroom rentals. to the biggest and best Recreation Center and Pools on the Beach just across the street, 2.5 blocks over. Heated Olympic size Adult Pool and child Pool with fountains,slides, rock climbing wall, air conditioned state of the art exercise center overlooking the waterways and showers. These pools are far superior to most hotel and resort pools and the best kept secret in CW Beach. Also at the Rec center is Tennis, Basketball, Library, and kiddie classes , counselors and Life Guards. Maximum free passes is 10 passes. Opens mid March Kids 9 years old and older may be dropped off as there are free Counselors and Life Guards.
No charge for pack and play, high chairs, stair fence,cribs, beach chairs,, extra towels.,coolers and us of Managers bikes ( Bikes owned by Manager and not the Resort )
. Our Spa is almost as big as some swimming pools in the same neighborhood . Some restrictions apply. Absolutely no children under 12 years old. Closes at 9;00 pm unless 4 cottages are rented.
Washer and Dryer: You can ask the housekeeper to do a small load. They appreciate tips. You can it drop off across from Hess station for less than $1 per lb, washed and folded. or use the coin operated machines $2 per load at the air conditioned business center. Housekeeping at the Cottages use the drop off service for superior cleaning.
Parking is provided for one car. Metered spots available in front. All of CW Beach is metered. save the hassle of a car since you can walk everywhere from CW Cottages and we offer free Golf Cart Taxi rides, when available.

My family and I loved the cottage! It had plenty of room for 5 adults and two large dogs! We loved the outdoor spaces and the short walk to the beach. Also it was nice that the beach was a less crowded stretch of beach in Clearwater and closer to the residential areas, but still a short walk to Starbucks and Frenchy's! We will come back!

Wow! What can i say?!!!
Reminds me of my chuldhood in Florida. Lush tropicals and white powder sands within a short barefoot walk. Chairs & bicycles provided for guest at no charge! Comfortable & user friendly cottage. Plus sunsets beyond belief! I will be comming here again asap!

Great family spot
We had my daughter's first birthday here. We planned on being out on the deck for the party but the hideaway was the perfect size for everyone. The staff was great and it really had a laid back family vibe. We will be back!

Best weekend to the end of the summer
The hideawy cottage was perfect for what we needed peacefully, quite and dog friendly that what was the best part! The staff was great and professional and helpful. This was a perfect getaway for my birhtday celebration. I am turly coming back to take another mini vacation it was all the comfronts of home. I would like to thank the staff at Blue Wave Condo Suites for a wonderfully experience and this will be my new vacation spot when I travel back to Clearwater Beach.

Just right for us!
My husband and I bravely took 5 teens to Clearwater Beach for spring break. The Hideaway was just right for us. The kids knew ahead of time that we were looking for an affordable place close to the beach. There was no view and we were fine with that we were only home to eat and sleep. The beach was so close you could walk back to the Hideaway to grab lunch without missing much sun. We always felt safe walking everywhere we went. The people in Clearwater Beach were very friendly service and dining was excellent. Captain al was just a phone call away but we didn't need much because he already thought of everything. So nice to have beach towels, chairs and bikes. The workout facility was great too, we went every day and the staff there was also terrific. Looking forward to our next trip.

Our week on the beach
The Hideaway Cottage was perfect for our needs. 6 adults, our 3 week old grandson and 2 dogs and we were quite comfortable. We wanted to spend some good quality time with our new grandson, family and friends and thats what we did. The cottage is beachside and the beach is a stones throw away so we spent alot of time on the beach. Pier 60 is a couple blocks away and its worth the short walk to see the arts, crafts and activities. Sunset Celebration there every night. My wife loved the stores along Mandalay ave on the way to the Pier. Food of all kinds everywhere you look; bar across the street, pizza on the corner. It was great! Our hosts, Capt al, Rodney and Gayle were great and a phone call away. I highly recommend this place if you want a simpler more down to earth stay.I would happily stay here again.

Good times at the Hideaway Cottage
This place was perfect for us...6 adults, our newborn grandson and 2 dogs stayed here comfortably. A short, simple walk thru the courtyard brings the beach into view and since it is located on the beachside, its a matter of a couple hundred steps and you're on the sands of the beautiful Clearwater Beach. Shells everywhere and the sun sets over the Gulf are spectacular. We had a blast riding bikes, which are provided. Pier 60 where there's a Sunset Celebration every night which consists of vendors sharing and selling their products of creativity, as well as people putting on individual little shows, of which some were quite remarkable. Pier 60 is easily within walking distance of the Cottages and it's well worth the walk simply to enjoy the shopping district and window shopping.
The kitchen has all kinds of pots and pans but could use a baking sheet. I think though that had I asked for one it would have been provided. Our hosts Rodney, Capt al and Gayle were that great! They provided towels, linens and even found my piece of corral sponge that got blown away...lol.
Which reminds me, we were there amidst a strong wind advisory of 40 mph winds. We could sit in the courtyard under the umbrella and not be disturbed by the wind at all.
"So would I come back to this place"?... in a heart-beat!
"Would I recommend it to a friend"?... yes, without hesitation
"What would I stress to a friend with my recommendation"?... If you require and expect room-service go the Hilton; if you want a more "home on the beach" getaway then this is the place! The hosts are friendly and a phone call away; and the perks of staying beachside and within a few steps of beach view to me speaks for itself.
We had a great time Capt al, Gayle and Rodney! I want to say a special thankyou because we got to spend an entire week meeting our new grandson. Our stay will always be a special memory... thanks.

Excellent Holiday Week - 2011
We are a family of 4 from Ohio...Mom/Dad...2 boys ages 25 and 22. We stayed at the Hideaway...and had a great time for the week were there! The cottage was absolutely ideal for us...close to the beach(maybe 200 feet at most)...excellent for sleeping...warming up leftovers from the excellent restaurants nearby...and all with great service from Captain al and the gang! We recommend 'The Hideaway'...to all!!

The Hideaway Beach Apartment, is at 640 Mandalay Ave, 5 blocks from Pier 60, 3 blocks from French'y Rockaway Grill (on the Gulf of Mexico) and just a stumble of two blocks from Palm Pavaillion Tiki Bar and Resturant) We are also on the Pet Friendly part of Clearwater Beach. Pets welcome.Pets are not allowed on any part of Clearwater Beach except the residential area. We are one block from the residential area. We are just over the bridge from Clearwater Marine Aquarium where you can seewinter., the Dolphin from Dolphin Tale. Hilton Hotel 4 blocks over rents jet skis, bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas,and all resort amenities including drinks at the Tiki Bars on the beach, When you stay you can borrow the Manager's bicycles ( not owned by the vacation rental property ) beach chairs, chaise lounges, coolers, and no resort or parking fees
