This spot was perfect for my husband & I. We stayed at this studio for 3 nights while in town for a friend's wedding. We drove up from our home in Key West, FL, so we KNEW how insane hotel rates are all over Florida.
This studio is in a lovely, safe, quiet, residential neighborhood just outside of Tampa. (It's not a condo/apartment complex or hotel.
We were here for a wedding, so weren't looking for traditional Florida "destination/tourist" accommodations. We didn't need or want a pool or anything like that.
The owners live in the main house next door, and have 2 private studios for rent with private entrances thru a separate gate. We NEVER felt as if we were sharing someone's home. And we never heard the owners or the guests in the other studio.
Tom & Sandy are very responsive and eager to make everyone's stay lovely. But once you arrive, they're only around if you ask for them.
They are super helpful & accommodating. The listing doesn't do it justice. It's not large, but plenty big enough and perfectly and thoughtfully equipped and comfy for 2 people. The mattress is fantastic. The bathroom is stocked with hair products, a hair dryer, sunscreen, etc.
The fridge & freezer are larger than the mini fridges you'd find in a hotel room. There's heat, a/c and a super quiet ceiling fan. Plus great cable TV and free wifi.
The kitchen has dishes, utensils, coffee, creamer, sugar, condiments, a coffee pot, knives, etc. Plus a microwave & convection oven.
There's a lovely leather couch that folds down into a full-sized extra bed (though the space is really most ideal for 2 people - a third person would be tight quarters.)
The property is 5 mins from a main road & all stores and restaurants one could possibly need or want. The neighborhood is a 15-20 min. drive to downtown Tampa & Busch Gardens.
Studio A is the one shown, where we stayed. Studio B on the same property is a bit larger. (Tom let me peek inside while it was being cleaned.) We'll try that one when we return. And we WILL be back.
Can't say enough good things about this spot. It was so clean and absolutely perfect for our needs. Again, we were in town for a wedding, NOT a typical Florida tourist vacation, as we live in Key West, Fl.
