The house is completely stocked with all of the comforts of home. There are even board games if you need to entertain the kiddos before bed. Speaking of beds, the beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out between the three bedrooms and the pull out sofa in the second living area. There was a beautiful view of the river from the covered front porch. (Perfect spot to drink your morning coffee & plan your day) We were very pleasantly surprised by the elevator next to the back porch. The spring next door is convenient if you want to cool off in the swimming area or put your boat in the water ready for a ride up the river. We had no cell service so make sure you have all of your maps and check in info printed or saved on your phone. Once we set up wifi we could get texts and social media. We are definitely planning a return trip in the near future. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

This is the place to stay on the River, Just bring food, your water crafts, 4 wheelers. and you are all set for a great time. House is super clean, and comfortable. The owner is great and responds immediately to any concern. This was our groups 3rd time staying.... of 16 years up and down the river. This one is a Gem.

This rental was fantastic. It is large, immaculate, and well kept. We had 2 couples and each couple had their bedroom and bath at opposite ends of the house with 2 living areas between, giving us all plenty of privacy. The kitchen is huge and very well stocked. Any dish or pan you might want, even those for a large crowd, are there. The beds are very comfortable and the shower pressure is great. I appreciated the washer, dryer, and dishwasher. There is a large grill, a larger smoker, a canoe, 2 kayaks, and lots of picnic tables and chairs all under a pavillion. The dock for the boat you can bring is brand new. The owner responded to any questions we had immediately.

The house was excellent! Very comfortable, well equipped, very clean. Lots of activities to do. It was a home away from home.

2nd time at The River Place for our group. Everything is within reach if you choose to venture the River, multiple Springs, improved and unimproved. Relax completely at this private property. The Spring and boat ramp right next door. Multiple decks to just chill out on. Walk, jog, explore the property. The house is complete it is just like home.( maybe better) this is our groups 15th year vacationing on the River, Houseboats, Primitive camping and home rentals.....I believe this ones a keeper....we were planning next years meals of slow cooked ribs in an outstanding smoker and grill... can't say enough. The owner is great, very responsive, See You next year but maybe sooner. Best Regards

We have stayed here a few times. I usually don't take the time to write reviews but this place is worth it. It is so peaceful and beautiful here. The owners are very nice, attentive, and trustworthy. Every time we go back there is a different, "upgrade, " they really take care of the place. Loved the recent addition of the fire pits and downstairs bathroom/changing room. My dogs enjoy going as well, when we pull up they get excited to go exploring through nature and dip in the river. They have a kennel outside, which was great because even though my dogs are well behaved at home, I didn't want to leave them inside unattended in a new place when we went somewhere-just bring some tick and mosquito prevention. There is a lot of wildlife to see, as well as a spring right next door. We bring a boat and take a short trip up river to Bobs River Place which the kids LOVE, and visit different springs along the river. I can't recommend this place enough, we will be back every year.

My family of 4 adults, one child and 2 dogs were perfectly housed in this 5 acre property. The owners have a great sense of what their guests might need. The home has beautiful floors, the bathrooms are lovely and spacious, and there are plenty of windows to enjoy the property. There is also a huge tv with satellite channels in the living room. They have a covered seating area with a table right outside their back door on a lovely wooden deck. They have thoughtfully installed 3 powerful fans in the pavilion where the gas grille is set up. Plenty of seating down there with 3 picnic tables and a TV. Also, there is a sand volleyball court, horseshoes, cornhole, kayaks, canoe and fishing all available on the property! It was a perfect location for us since it is directly on the Suwannee River and close to many of our favorite rivers, trails, parks and springs! Gornto Springs is literally next door. There is an awesome map of some of the rivers and springs in the area in the dining room. It also highlights the Sturgeon jumping areas on the Suwannee River. We certainly heard the Sturgeon jumping from the this home's riverside dock/seating areas. Because this is a remote, wooded area, you will need strong mosquito protection. Being Floridians we came prepared with candles, spray and a screened pop-up porch. These are no city mosquitos, however, candles do little to deter them and only strong spray helps. We love being outside so it didn't matter much to us. The property is up high and dry plus the home is raised so no flooding problems even though we stayed less than 2 weeks after hurricane Irma hit this area and the river was still very high. The owners have very thoughtfully installed a lift, making packing and unpacking the vehicles (with luggage or groceries) so much easier than hauling it all up the stairs! The owner, Robert C was fantastic! We booked within a few days of our arrival and his prompt responses to questions and payment were impressive to say the least. We chose to ask to stay an extra few days and he was more than accommodating. Thank you so much for making our Suwannee River getaway such a wonderful experience!

Beautiful Suwanee River Getaway We had 3 couples go on this trip and we really enjoyed our time while we was there. The house had everything we needed and was just the right size for all of us and having the boat ramp at the house made it so easy to just jump in the boat and go. Although it did rain a couple of days while we was there we found things to do to keep us busy. We hope to go back real soon. Thanks, Bryant

I rented this home at the last minute and cancelled our hotel stay and am so happy I did! For my 15 year old son's birthday, I took he and 4 of his friends to snorkel the springs nearby and float the rivers. The rental process was a breeze and the property manager was amazingly flexible with accommodating us on a Sunday arrival. We all had such a great time that we extended 2 additional nights, with no problem whatsoever. This home made a trip with 5 teenage boys highly enjoyable! The boys kayaked and canoed, while exploring the river. They walked the property and swam in the nearby spring. There is a well stocked mini mart just around the corner that we visited every evening for snacks & drinks. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a natural getaway! We will be back!
