Great place if you don't need luxury
I liked this place and would happily book it again. This place has everything one needs. It is not a luxury apartment nor does it have anything special. However, it is in a great location and is priced well. The cons (described below) are either described in the property description and not surprises or are minor. They are included for descriptive purposes and aren't complaints.
Pros: great location, well priced. Kitchen and bathroom have been recently renovated. Kitchen has all the cooking utensils pots and pans and plates one needs. Has excellent gas BBQ. Management company was responsive to requests to replace non-working humidifier.
Cons: Rooms are small. Furniture is older. Apt is in basement down a long set of stairs. Little sunlight. Use of pool etc requires driving or bus. If you want to take out garbage you have to go outdoors. I'm not sure if there is laundry; there isn't in the unit itself.

Extremely tired but a great location - not recommended
The location of this property can't be faulted. Park right outside and a couple of minutes walk to the village centre and lifts.
The living area is warm and cosy and welcoming, although dark being on the lower level with light blocked by a heap of snow creekside. There is ample lighting though.
The condo was built in the 1960s and I don't think the kitchen or bathroom have been updated since then. The cleaning team do a great job of cleaning a very dated and shabby bathroom (see photos). The shower door was added, but the curtain rail left!
We had the worst sleep of any holiday we can remember, due to the knocking throughout the night of the heating system. We used earplugs, but that didn't block out the horrendous noise. We did alert the management company, but nothing could be done, apparently.
Wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend. I would question the 'gold' rating. Great spot but not up to scratch for the money.

Nice location but thats about it
This place has a nice location right in vail village and walking distance to slopes and amenities. However, don't plan on sleeping much if someone is staying in the unit above you. The floors creak very loudly when someone is just walking in the unit above. It sounds like the ceiling is going to come crashing down on you in bed. I complained and asked for a fan or noise maker but was told they couldn't accommodate. Be aware the unit is also in a basement so dark and very little natural light. When I was there the back door where the only light comes from was completely snowed in and inaccessible. If you want to be close but don't care about quality of the accommodation and can sleep through noise then you'll be fine. Otherwise, I'd stay away.

Location...
Location of this property is ideal. Walking distance to Golden Peak and just steps away from the covered bridge entrance to Vail Village. Although we rented a car, we did not have to use it for the 8 days we were there...what a luxury!
Cons...the unit is lower, so the snow covered the entire back porch view and made the condo very dark. The heater makes a knocking noise, which if you are a light sleeper, will wake you up several times throughout the night. Also, we prefer a bathtub, but there is only a shower. The mattress on the sofa bed needs to be replaced as you can feel all the springs. Luckily, most of the time we were there, there were no other renters close by. But as the weekend approached, we realized that you could hear neighbors walking overhead and sounds very clearly.
But, sometimes it is all about the location. The space is comfortable and pleasant.

So relaxing and comfortable!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this unit the most out of the places we have stayed in Vail in the past. The location to the village is great. We like being able to walk everywhere. Listening to the sound of Gore Creek outside the back door was very relaxing! The unit had everything we needed. The communication with the management company made checking in and out very easy! We would definitely stay there again!

Excessively Worn
The carpet stairs were so dirty. It should be replaced. The unit had a musty smell. Much of the furniture is very worn.
