Loved this cabin, Loved this location!
We just returned from a three night stay at the Cottontail Cabin in Bunnylane Cabins and absolutely loved it. The cabins and property are beautiful and so well taken care of by Jeff. His love for his property is seen throughout and it truly feels like a home away from home. It's comfortable, cozy, and a nice getaway that feels like camping but with the luxury of a bed and a roof. The fishing lake that is just a couple hundred yards away is a beautiful and serene place to fish, the Colorado trail is a walk up the street and an absolutely gorgeous hike, and we were able to do some four wheeling up around St. Elmo, which is a fun little adventure in itself, and again, close enough to not have to spend your whole trip driving to adventure. The cabin had games available if we wanted, but we found ourselves entertained by cards, books, a campfire and s'mores. If you're looking for a motel and someone to clean up after you, this isn't your place. Every guest is expected to treat the cabin like their own home, clean up after themselves and restock the basic necessities. For a girl who grew up going to our family cabin, this was the perfect treat. Along with two teenagers who loved getting away from technology as much as we did, our three dogs were treated like family as well. They loved watching the views from the porch, hiking, and four wheeling with us, too! They did desperately want to chase the deer that passed by from time to time. Jeff's expectations are clear and easy to follow- clean up after yourself, take care of the property, respect the other guests, keep your pets leashed and with you, and enjoy this cabin as your own. My husband does have difficulty walking and we were happy to be in the Cottontail, which has easy access to the shared restroom. He can manage steps, so the three steps to the cabin were fine and he was also able to make it to the fishing lake. It could be difficult to navigate some of the stone paths, depending on the level of disability someone might have. This is a beautiful place that we will happily return to.

I got bait and switched - Thumper was horrible- 1 inc grime at the floor up at the wall
I paid for a larger cabin Rabbit Den - the place I paid for was much larger, with a very large outside deck. At the last minute in trying to help the owner, I agreed to stay at a smaller cabin, not knowing what we were in for- Thumper. I asked for an adjustment since I had paid for the larger cabin with more features. I never heard one word back as to being accommodating on this. we were to be provided clean linens - we got very stained pillow cases- that was as far as we would go on the linens and sleep underneath a blanket not willing to sleep in the beds. we had to ask for trash bags as there were no extra's- we were assured that there were extras- well there were not

This guest . was sent a professional cabin change request and agreed to Thumper Cabin for his stay . Our cabins are rustic and not everyone is prepared for that . This guest demanded trash bags for a week so our website enlisting clearly states we do not provide trash bags paper towels toilet paper napkins or any kind of paper goods it is bring your own and it's also pay it forward for the next guest Jeff is run this business this way for 30 years and as you can see from our all of our previous reviews we are five star this cast was compensated $50 even though they did not clean or even sweep the floor or mop or pay it forward for the next guest this guess was also brought trash bags 2 less than the entire stay this guest was also offered the last 4 days of their stay Wild Hare cabin which would have been a huge upgrade since it does have a full kitchen and private bath this guest declined and chose to stay and Thumper and do nothing but complain
