The second you climb the stairs into the main living area and set eyes on the view, you'll be mesmerized by the softly swaying green-tipped branches on the trees that give way to the magnificent huge granite outcroppings, snow-capped mountains, and bright blue skies as far as you can see. Here you can rest, relax, and breathe deep, knowing all you need in order to enjoy yourself is the key! The only other homes you'll see, are on other mountains, not next door!!! Yet you are 5 minutes to town, restaurants, shopping and all kinds of attractions! Not to mention hiking directly out the front door! The house, over 2200 square feet, sits on a sprawling 4.25+acre estate, joined by over 1100 acres of park land : 3 bedrooms, including a master with a king bed and en-suite bath & flat screen TV, guest room with queen bed, Kid's room with queen bed plus a sleeping loft with queen bed 2 ½ bathrooms A fully-equipped kitchen Dining room - table for 10, plus 3 barstools at the breakfast bar Living room - open to dining and kitchen - flat screen TV Loft - a second living space- Sleeper Sofa, flat screen TV, games, and music Laundry room Hot tub A private breathtaking view of the sun rising and setting over the surrounding mountains! The main floor features an open-concept design, with the kitchen, dining, and living room areas all connected to allow friends and family to gather and enjoy each other's company. Also on the main floor is the master suite, laundry room, powder room, and a huge deck with dining table, overlooking the mountains. Part of the home's charm is it's feeling of tranquility and privacy – you can't see any other homes from your perch on the deck, except for those on other mountains, far in the distance – but you're still close enough to town (about 3 miles) to conveniently attend to grocery stores, shopping or dining at one of the nearby restaurants. This unique location allows a blend of solitude and opportunities for socialization, making it perfect for most any family, group, or other fun-filled getaway. Also available, for extra charge, is the unique Guesthouse: an open-loft bedroom upstairs, with a King Bed, provides additional square footage and an overall airiness, mimicking the breathtaking altitude outside. The living area of the guesthouse offers a queen sleeper sofa. From the walls to the ceiling to the bathroom, everything is custom. The calendar does not necessarily indicate occupancy for the Guesthouse, so call or inquire! The guesthouse is heaven with it's own private hot tub, and you're invited. The outdoor area surrounding the physical property is every bit as enthralling as house and guesthouse. The house sits on 4+ acres and abuts parkland that totals over 1100 acres of gloriously untamed wilderness. One of our favorite things to do is just sit on the deck and relax. It's easy to forget your cares when you feel the pine-scented wind softly ruffling your hair as the sun lazily drifts through the clear, blue sky. The sights and sounds here are second to none, with critters of all shapes, sizes, and colors coming and going as they please. We have elk, deer, chipmunks, fox, and all kinds of birds. In September 2012 we saw a mama bear and her two cubs crossing the road, coming home downtown from Evergreen. Hot tub aficionados take note: while drinking in your share of the cool mountain air, you may be visited by Fox E. Brown. Our resident friendly fox has kept us company through a few hot tub excursions and beautiful sunsets, grooming himself from his perch on the rocky outcrop that juts out over the tub as we soaked. Don't worry, he never jumps in! While most people think of mountain destinations like Evergreen as a seasonal experience, there are so many things to do and places to go within a short distance that Colorado Dream Vacation™ is truly is a year-round destination. Summer time is a great time for fishing, hiking, bike riding, checking out local festivals and mountain parks. Kids have a great time at Dinosaur Ridge, or Heritage Square in Golden! Heritage Square Amusement Park in Golden is about 25 minutes away and has a 220 ft double zip line, go karts, boats, golf, an arcade, and rides including a ferris wheel and tilt-a-whirl, and all kinds of fun things to do! The zoo in Denver is phenomenal too! Right around Evergreen, there's canoeing, paddle boats, and tons of walking/hiking trails in Evergreen and the Lake. In the fall, don't miss the Aspens and the leaves turning to the fire neon gold! Absolutely stunning! There are so many great roads with outstanding scenery to take short trips, up to a full day trip, returning to Colorado Dream Vacation™, and the warmth of the hot tub, with the view! Winter, of course, is skiing for the whole family, about an hour away in Breckenridge, A Basin, Keystone or Winter Park. Nearby Echo Mountain caters to snow boarders, and there's always old fashion sledding on the property. Evergreen Lake is so close and there's still so much to enjoy there! Ice fishing, ice skating, hockey, along with of course snow men, and snow fish, and whatever you can imagine making! Spring brings snow melt, which is a great time for white water rafting! Spring is beautiful with the spring flowers, and the smell of newness in the air! Horseback riding is great fun virtually all year long, and indoor swimming is at Wulf Recreation Center in Evergreen. Don't forget how close we are to downtown Denver too! Professional hockey, football, and baseball are 30-40 minutes away! Red Rocks Ampitheater is about 20 minutes away with a history of world class musicians taking the stage. Don't miss the view of Denver from here, or the museum that in the lower level-it's amazing! I could go on and on about all the great things there are to see and do in the area, so close to the house and cabin, yet you'll feel a world away, when you get home from the day's activities, slip into the hot tub, with a beverage of your choice, watching the sun go down! In June 2012 we received the first short-term rental permit issued in Jefferson County. It was a difficult permit to attain, but we managed it, and we work hard to maintain the necessary requirements to keep the permit in effect. To date, there are still only 4 legal short-term rentals in all of Jefferson County, only 2 in Evergreen. We are the only one within 5 minutes of downtown Evergreen and the Lake House! If in doubt, ask for a copy of the permit! Ask us, and ask others! You'll be surprised how many are illegal! Illegal operators can be shut down at any time. Amazing place!

Fantastic views and an amazing experience.

Located just 3 miles to downtown Evergreen. Shopping and great local restaurants abound. I was impressed by the amenities along with the mountain views and the feeling of serenity. I will definitely be back for a second visit.

Perfect place to get away from it all without being far from it all.

The view and silence was surreal. The house is nicely appointed and had everything we needed. The wildlife was breathtaking. I would recommend this vacation rental as the best experience we have had. I am looking forward to returning next year.More
