A truly beautiful getaway
This location is incredible! Short drives to Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, and Colorado Springs. The guesthouse is beautiful and is true to the southwest decor inside and out. Ann was wonderful and very accommodating, and there was plenty of heat sources to keep us warm during the snowy nights (and it’s on the sunny side of the valley during daytime.) Overall, 10/10 do recommend for any couple looking to explore the springs or is just looking for a romantic getaway.

Amazing & peaceful place to rest & recharge
We had the most amazing stay at The Sanctuary of the Rose. Anne was a fantastic host and was very responsive. Her attention to detail to ensure our stay was perfect is greatly appreciated! She even had fresh baked cookies waiting for us. We had events in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Canon City. The home was a great central location for us! I highly recommend renting this home if you are looking for a place to unwind, rest and recharge!

The Sanctuary is a perfect description of this cootage.
This guesthouse was more than expected. The views were breathtaking. The cottage had everything needed in luxurious taste . You could feel the love that was put in the planning of this guesthouse.. I will come back anytime we are in Colorado Springs.

Great Place to Stay!!!
Had a great stay at the Sanctuary. Cozy, Clean,and Quiet. Ann is the best, aways willing to help when asked, our 2nd time here, hope to make it back there soon.

Perfect Place To Stay
Beautiful quest house. Everything was updated, comfortable bed, sofa, etc. Very quiet, clean, beautiful scenery, perfect host and hostess who are willing to go out of their way to help their guest. Very close to nice restaurants (The Pantry, Mucky Duck, Wines of Colorado), pikes peak, cliff dwellings, cave of the winds, garden of the gods, flying w ranch (a must). Walmart, Walgreens close by. Everything you need is in close driving distance. When we come back to Colorado we will definitely stay at The Sanctuary of the Rose and recommend to friends and family.

Awesome Home!
I enjoyed this place 100%. Mrs. Ann has amazing hospitality. She made the place feel like home away from home. She had fresh baked cookies upon arrival, let me just say they were the BOMB! The labyrinth was pretty relaxing and peaceful the whole setup was just awesome. I will definitely stay at this home again!

Perfect getaway for two
We live in Denver and were looking for a close getaway where we could explore something new and The Sanctuary was perfect. Ann was an amazing hostess, and gave us great recommendations for local bakeries (Nightingale Bread!) We explored Woodland Park just up the road, enjoyed some live music at Rhapsody and great beer at BierWerks.
The santuary was just that, relaxing and peaceful. Loved the little fireplace! We will be back again and again for sure!!

Relaxing Getaway from the Hustle and Bustle
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Sanctuary of the Rose. The guesthouse is only a few miles away from Manitou Springs and about 15-20 minutes from Colorado Springs. It was nice to visit the cities for a day and come back and retreat. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, I'll certainly look into staying here again. We would personally recommend the Penny Arcade in Manitou Springs and the Denver Biscuit Company for breakfast.

Wonderful cozy retreat!
This was our second stay at the Sanctuary and it was amazing!! We love the picturesque location, in the trees with mountain views. Secluded, yet super close to wonderful restaurants and attractions. Anne and Chuck are the most accommodating and gracious hosts! We actually eloped and were married on the property. It was absolutely beautiful and everything I had hoped it would be. If you are looking for a peaceful place to rest, recharge or even have an intimate wedding this is it!
We will be back!

About the neighborhood
The Sanctuary is located in the foothills of Colorado Springs, in the little mountain suburb of Cascade, giving guests the Colorado experience of being "in" the mountains with beautiful mountain views from the front porch, back patio and windows. Many areas of Colorado Springs such as downtown rarely have views!
The Sanctuary is within 5-15 minutes drive of Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs area attractions, restaurants, shops and hiking trails.
Our neighborhood of homes and bed and breakfasts is quiet and peaceful.

How to get there
From I-25 in Colorado Springs, EXIT at Hwy 24 West (Cimarron Street/Exit 141.) Turn WEST onto Highway 24 /Cimarron towards the mountains. Stay on Highway 24 for approximately 9 miles until you see the signs for Cascade and the Pikes Peak Highway and North Pole. Take a RIGHT at the traffic light in Cascade (not a LEFT towards Pikes Peak.) Merge onto the frontage road, then take an immediate RIGHT onto the first street, Topeka Ave. Turn LEFT at the second street, Hagerman Ave. Follow Hagerman up the small hill. The Sanctuary of the Rose is at 4615 Hagerman Ave., on the RIGHT side at the top of the hill. Look for the cinnamon colored adobe house and guest house. Park parallel in front of the Sanctuary or by the parking sign. Please be aware of the St. Francis statue directly in front of the Sanctuary that covers a water pipe and do not park too close to it.
