My wife and my three sons loved staying here. We loved that there was access to a private beach and were able to swim in the lake. It is extremely quiet and peaceful. All kitchen and bedroom stuff well equipped. The owner is a delight to do business with.

This cabin does not meet the advertised description. As well as the items in the letter below, additional clarity: Remodeled = new floors, paint and refrigerator Jacuzzi (listed in amenities) = a spa bathtub in the downstairs corner Letter sent to the owner (the owner DID NOT respond) -- Our stay at your cabin was much less than our expectations, which were based on the description and the rental rate. We arrived during a heat wave (Labor Day weekend) and could not open the windows because there are no screens. The blades of the floor fan were dirty and the speed control knob is broken. Besides missing screens, the windows are spidery and quite dirty. The Keurig has finicky buttons, sometimes they work, most times they don't. This coffee maker needs a de-scale cleaning and/or replacement. There is no lighting over the dining table. There is a hook where a light may have been, but it is missing now. A barbecue meal is not possible on such a dirty rack. Our purchased grill brush was no match for the encrusted grill rack and gunk inside. The clothes rack in the basement laundry room has a broken leg so we were unable to hang our clothing and upstairs no space is provided for clothing. Although we hosed off outdoors, we tracked in a bit of sand and discovered the vacuum cleaner doesn't have any suction. We made numerous requests for the dock number without an answer. After further prodding, you gave us the dock number on our third day there. We wanted to fish at the dock. The most unacceptable was the BROKEN SHOWER KNOB in the main floor shower. We were reduced to ONE shower for FIVE people. The only working shower is not private because the pocket door to the downstairs room is taped shut to prevent use because the pocket door is broken. We had to purchase the following items as these items are missing, empty or damaged: Paper towels (the towel holder is empty) Hand soap (there is none) Facial tissue (there is none) Frying pan (the teflon frying pan is so scratched it looked toxic) Dish brush (the one there is flat and useless) Grill brush (this did not help, the barbecue needs a thorough cleaning) Laundry detergent (the container is empty) We spoke with the realtor handling the sale of this cabin. She shared she had apprised you of the missing screens, grimy barbecue and BROKEN SHOWER KNOB prior to our arrival! She also said she offered you the help of her handyman for repairs. You told us "I knew the shower knob was tight". As you know, from our many texts and emails, your handyman never showed up during our entire stay. You repeatedly said you were messaging him and added he might arrive late in the evening after his regular job. This should have been a priority issue!! Your offer of $50.00 refund is insulting to me. A refund of one nights rate ($500) is more appropriate. Please reconsider your offer.

I have a great time in this cabin old style look but confy, they have a fireplace and a Great view to the lake, good location to be with your dog and hike. Close to the Village to have a drink and afordable place to be with your family .

Enjoyed our stay. Viewed the fireworks from the main balcony. The appliances worked fine and the cabin was clean. The owner replied to my emails promptly. We brought our own towels and washed the dishes by hand to save water. The cabin made us feel at home. Just be advised that there are 36 steps from the street level down to the front door so pack accordingly. The master bedroom looked recently painted and renovated. If there is one thing I can suggest, that will be the chair cushions in the balcony. They are worn out and should be replaced. When not in use, have the cleaning crew put them inside the cabin.

We woke up to majestic views even better than in the photos. The dock was nearby and we took the kayak out on the lake. There was a brand new barbecue which we enjoyed using. The house was very clean with lots of space but felt cozy. We loved the jacuzzi in the bedroom and the working fireplace in the room made it more romantic. Lovely lakefront cabin experience!

We went as a family in the beginning of summer for a few days away. Everything was as described. The dining area was perfect to fit all of us together for a family dinner. The deck is perfect to sit and relax with a great view of lake. Everything you need for a BBQ was provided. The living room has a large fireplace , which we used even in the summer! The dock was a little bit of a walk, but well worth it. It is right on the lake with a table to sit and enjoy the lake. The owner was very accessible for any questions we had during our stay. Would definitely rent the place again! Very reasonable for a home so close to lake.

We had a great family vacation. Beautiful views of the lake great family fun at the village. The kids really enjoyed swimming off the dock. We would recommend staying here to family and friends. The owner was very friendly and accomidating.

My sister and I stayed in in this house for my niece's wedding. Spring is so pretty there. The house is warm and inviting. The property is located close to the beach and my dogs loved it. We had plenty of room to prepare food and decorations for the wedding. We had a family BBQ the night before the wedding and enjoyed the sunset together before hitting the jacuzzi.. I am serious I was so relaxed and had a great time with my family. They had everything we needed and were quick to give back my deposit.. Great! Hope we can get back up here for the Fourth of July to see the fireworks and here a concert in the Villiage.. Fun times!

My husband planned for us a wonderful little get away for the President's Holiday Weekend in Lake ArrowHead. Our stay was for one night. The description and pictures of this cabin/home "marketed" the place well...However, it over promised and undelivered. I am sure in its hay day this was a great place....but the years has taken its toll, and its obvious that no repairs and no special attention or cleaning has been given to this place. We extended the invitation for my sister and her husband to join us that weekend for dinner and we were glad when they were not able to make it. We were embarrassed we had ended up with this place. We abided by the terms of the contract exactly....and YET, it took 2 1/2 months for us to receive our $400 deposit back....AND it was with our constant prompting. In addition, Ms. Frantz charged us her $19.68 fee for accepting a credit card payment. ....??WOW?? SERIOUSLY!! Talk about cheap and penny pinching.....we were not giving any courtesy , or apology or discount for allowing her to be late and making us wait not only the 45 days as stated in her contract but an additional 14 days AFTER !! At first, I didn't want to be soo vocal towards this place because I did not want to hurt my husband's feelings....but after our stay, and all the delays with getting our deposit back, AND the paypal charge deducted from our deposit....he even agreed....it was not worth the drive, stay, amenities and the waiting for the deposit back.... We are lucky we even got the deposit back. There are other very nice places in Lake Arrowhead...we encourage you to shop around before booking your stay with Ms. Frantz.

It's tough to go on a vacation with the complete family(for me thats my lovely wife, three great kids 6,6 and 8, and 2 dogs). My wife's friend told us about renting a cabin and how you could get a lot of the convenience of home and still have a vacation so we thought we would try it and it really turned out great! I'm not sure if we got lucky or not but for the price there was plenty of room for my whole family. Our kids really liked staying upstairs in the loft which left us(at least part of the time) downstairs in a wonderful luxury type suite with jacuzzi bath and king bed and separate balcony with a great view. The kids loved walking down the stairs to the beach and playing in the sand and throwing the ball with the dogs. I could see the beach from our balcony so I could tell them when dinner was ready on the grill! I always had to tell them multiple times because they loved playing on that beach. This was good for us because they would sack out really well at night! I would do this again and I'll tell you why: it also had all of the convenient things you can't easily get in a hotel. Laundry machines with detergent etc.(somehow one of the kids always find a way to make it necessary to do laundry); fridge fully stocked with all of the condiments and grill with gas etc.; and it also had a very nice flat screen hdtv with dvd player, a huge collection of dvds and cable tv with most of the channels! This was well worth the price and I hope it is available next time we are available to go to the lake for a few days!
