The Balboa Park/Excelsior neighborhood is truly a hidden gem in San Francisco. It is diverse, full of families, working professionals and large parks. It has lots of eclectic restaurants and small businesses. It's also a public transit hub, with excellent transportation options. Finally, it is extremely convenient to the airport and both highways 101 and 280.
Getting around
It is very easy to get around. With room to park 3 cars, it is very convenient to highways 101 and 280 to downtown SF, the airport or Silicon Valley. 2 blocks from Balboa Park BART station, it’s a short train ride to the airport, downtown, Oakland/Berkeley; buses all over the city; the J-Church train to Noe Valley, Mission Dolores Park, The Mission and The Castro; and the M Oceanview train to SFSU.
