Easy access to freeways, Venice and Santa Monica beaches, Westwood, Beverly Hills, Century City, Downtown. Great for couples, adventurers friends and business travelers. About the neighborhood
Located between Venice Beach & Culver City, next to Mar Vista, Palms is the oldest neighborhood annexed to Los Angeles. It was founded in 1886 by three entrepreneurs who saw potential in a mostly flat and fertile parcel of land. These founders subdivided the land for sale to individual families, then transplanted 5,000 palm trees to line the streets. The individual plots for sale were designed to be large enough to host a home as well as a small yard for family gardening in order to take advantage of the fertile soil. The advertisements to Westward bound settlers proclaimed: “No cold winters. No hot summers. No saloons in the Palms.'
Getting around
It's highly recommended to rent a car while visiting Los Angeles. 10-15-min ride to the Venice and Santa Monica beaches; 20-min to Century City, Beverly Hills, Marina, LAX; 30-40min to Downtown, Hollywood. Walk one block to public transportation (bus) or use services by Uber, Lyft or taxis.
