We visited with my disabled daughter and her children. The facilities for my daughter were amazingly good allowing her independence. The property is beautifully appointed for both disabled and able bodied. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The owner was extremely friendly and very helpful. We would definitely visit again.

My family and I moved into Stillwaters for six weeks whilst we were adapting a bungalow for our disabled daughter. The property is light and open, lots of space for any equipment and has a homely feel. Lovely large kitchen with all appliances and equipment you could need for a short or long stay. Very comfortable beds and completely accessible wetroom with bedroom hoist. Plenty of secure parking but the best part has to be the gardens! Stunning views from the living room and bedrooms you can walk around the lake sized pond. Our older children would spend hours sitting around the garden, drawing or going for walks it was lovely. Would recommend Stillwaters to anyone wanting a getaway near the beach and who loves privacy and stunning views.

The advert for this property said that it slept 7 (I think ?), but the photos aren’t clear for the bedrooms. As the holiday was for my family & my in laws, I made enquiries beforehand; there were a LOT of emails back & forth to clarify this and the Owner assured me that there were definitely 3 bedrooms; I note that the advert was subsequently amended in July to advertise 3 bedrooms. After more confusion, I had to book this staycation via a telephone call with Trip Advisor in February, to stay at end of August. In July, I received an email from the Owner telling me that I hadn’t paid enough for my holiday through Trip Advisor, despite having received her quote in February, agreed it, paid the deposit and being about two weeks away from paying the balance of the holiday; actually overpaying, as I didn’t take my pet that I paid for. Fortunately, this issue wasn’t forced, but it left me with my nerves on edge for what to expect upon arrival. Upon arriving at the 4pm check in on Saturday 21.08.21, the house was quite presentable and quite clean. First and foremost, THIS IS BY NO STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION A THREE BEDROOM PROPERTY !! The downstairs is an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a sofabed, second shower room / toilet directly off the lounge, with one ensuite bedroom. The upstairs is an open plan lounge/kitchen. The lounge has a table and chair set and a sofabed that can fit one adult. The is one ensuite bedroom. I had to ask a couple of times for the information folder for the house (which the flyers need to be updated). The towels for the upstairs room were still being dried in the tumble dryer when we arrived, but we could deal with that. The toilet lid in the downstairs ensuite bathroom was severely broken (replaced a couple of days later). The blind handle in the upstairs bedroom came off in my hand when I tried to twist the blind open. The upstairs lounge doors had no curtains. The downstairs kitchen cupboards were tilted off their hinges. The shower handle on the upstairs shower was broken. The downstairs kitchen bin lid didn’t shut. And you have to do your own recycling .. down to taking the bins out to the front pavement for the refuse collector to pick up once a week!! The Owner is currently building a three berth garage on the property and is about to build a swimming pool on the property too, the latter of which will add beautifully I’m sure .. but perhaps a little more tlc should be given to what’s there already; I’m afraid having returned from Spain the previous day wasn’t a good enough excuse for me. So, although we had a lovely stay (because we always make the best of where we are) and the surrounding areas are beautiful and relaxing, if you are staying as three couples, the third couple will not have their own bedroom or any privacy.

Thank you for your comments, we have taken on board your review and we whilst we consider that there are absolutely three bedrooms we agree there is not a door leading into the main bedroom upstairs. We shall update our website with photographs clearly showing this. We hope that this did not spoil your stay. Usually families are completely fine with this, but we take on board your feedback. With respect to the price there was a mix up with you requesting discount for NHS staff we offered a reduced fee for your stay. I apologise again if his confusion caused you upset.

A nice quiet location, away from the main, hustle and bustle. We enjoyed watching the sailing on the Solent.. And the nature reserve was lovely to walk beside in the setting sun. You need to keep an eye on adventurous little grandsons, because of the pond! That is common sense. Lovely time .

Plenty of parking outside the house, you can drive right to the front door which is great for anyone with mobility problems. The Kitchen is large and extremely well equipped. The outside decking is a gem, with views over the lake, we even had a deer run through the garden one evening. It is so peaceful. The perfect getaway to relax and recharge. Bedrooms are excellent also. It is well located to explore the local nature reserve, also Portsmouth, Gunwharf Keys and the Dockyard. loved it!

It is a pleasure to be able to offer a property that backs onto the nature reserve. The deer ofter feed from the fruit trees this time of year and can often be seen with their young stretching up to the tree to eat the apples! I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you will return again. Check out our villa in Alicante Spain if you feel like a change of weather ! Casa Marina Luah can be found on trip adviser and Holiday lettings. Kind regards Lisa

I would really like to say what a lovely relaxing holiday we have just had, theres no need to worry about bringing anything with you as it is all there. On the table there is a nice welcoming basket waiting for you. Now if you want relaxation how about this laying in bed in the morning with a nice cup of tea in your hand, french doors leading onto a balcony watching the Canadian Geese flying around. This property backs onto the Titchfield Haven where you get all the twitchers with their cameras taking photos of the wild birds. Once your downstairs you can either sit in a chair or go onto the veranda which overlooks the duck pond now thats relaxation. I give this property 5*

We booked Still Waters for a New Year stay. The booking procedure was extremely easy and any questions we had were answered promptly by the owners. When we arrived we were not disappointed by what we found. The kitchen-dinner was fabulous. A great size and fully equipped for cooking for the family. A short pleasant walk down to the beach with the dog and great dog walking beaches near by. Would deffinately recommend the property. Hope to be back again soon. Thank you for a great stay.

Still Waters is a fabulous place to stay, it is an extension of the main house, on 2 floors. The owners are really friendly and respond to emails immediately and live in the main house and a really friendly chap lives in the penthouse suite above. There is hallway leading straight through the utility room, downstairs bedroom and verandah. Downstairs bedroom has an en suite shower and looks over the pond and verandah. From the hall way you turn right and the large kitchen/diner is on the right and lounge on the left with stairs leading up to the landing, twin room with en suite bathroom with bath, and on right is master bedroom with sliding mirrored doors the wardrobe, double bed and a single bed. It also has a balcony with double glazed door leading to it. All bed linen and towels ate provided, including tea towels. There were loads of both crockery and cutlery, and even washing up liquid and dishwasher crystals were provided. It is a lovely, spacious, airy house, in a perfect setting - a quiet residential road, less than 5 minutes walk to Hill Head beach which is dog friendly. We can't wait to go to Still Waters again!
