What a beautifully maintained spacious apartment in a great location! We originally booked for guests to stay for our wedding at the Inn on the Lake, Paul was so helpful in changing our booking when this was postponed to the next year. He was easily contactable throughout the process and gave all information needed for our stay. We stayed for one night before the guests arrived and were so impressed with how modern everything was, great views and even a little Christmas tree up which we thought was a nice touch! Kitchen had everything we’d need and a range of tv subscriptions like Netflix for an evening. Great base for our guests staying there to get ready on the day of our wedding and be only a few metres away from the hotel. Thank you so much for a great stay!

A beautiful venue, we knew that already but was impressed with how lovely flat 5 was. Plenty of room and needed for nothing more than we expected. Beds were soooooo comfy. Definitely will be returning!

PaWe originally booked Stoney Steps for a wedding back in Jun 2020, due to COVID-19, the wedding was postponed until Jul 2021, Paul kindly moved our booking at no extra cost. The apartment is modern and very well equipped inside, we were very grateful for the use of the travel cot & high chair. You are right in the centre of Glenridding, but away from the crowds in the grounds of the hotel. the 9.30am checkout was a bit of a shock after a 3 day wedding celebration, but overall a great place to stay and excellent communcation from the the owner throughout.

Just returned from our 2nd visit to Stoney steps. Another fantastic holiday in this great well located flat, it is situated in the fantastic Helvelyn climbing area. The flat is well furnished and the beds are so comfortable. The kitchen is ideal for all those cooked meal after exploring Windermere, Ambleside, Keswick and plenty of swimming in Ullswater Lake for our 2 dogs. Plenty of places to eat locally. Just enjoyed another week in this fantastic property. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay. Spotless and very well furnished. Location is great with plenty of shops, places to eat and things to do. Thank you.

Very comfortable, cosy and well equipped accomodation in Glenridding. We were there to do some mountain biking and the location suited us very well for easy access to the bridleways up the mountains. The Ramblers Bar in the hotel is about ten paces away for meals/drinks, though we mainly self catered as the kitchen has everything you need to cook full meals. As the weather was quite rainy we found the provided electric dryer most useful to get our kit dry for the next day. Would very much recommend Stoney Steps.

We had a great stay at stoney steps last weekend. This apartment has everything you could need for your stay. Excellent communication with Paul prior to our stay. Highly recommend and we can't wait to stay again next year for our sons wedding at the inn on the lake hotel. For anyone attending a wedding there, this apartment is perfect as it's directly opposite. 5 star apartment.

A great location and clear arrival instructions mean first impressions are great. The apartment is in a small block at the back of the Inn on the Lake, opposite their temporary (?) marquee for outdoor dining. It is a sparkling clean, well maintained, 1st floor apartment with everything provided. Comfortable and high quality. A couple of hints: in the bathroom, the electric shower is pretty weak, but us that alongside the handheld from the bath provides a more powerful jet. Water does get everywhere so a squeegee would be handy. In the kitchen the inventory doesn’t match the stock - mostly more is provided but a couple of things weren’t there. We had no probs but if in doubt, make a note. We had an incredible stay, and if the owner can sort the weather for you to be as stunning as it was for us, you’ll truly benefit!

This was a well needed break after working all of lockdown and was our first holiday to the Lake District. This apartment was situated in a beautiful area and had all of the luxuries you needed, exactly like a “home from home”. The instructions Paul sent were easy to follow and I could not be happier with the location and apartment itself. It was close to a variety of walks, varying in difficulty and the Ullswater steamers which can take you (& dog) to different areas around the lake. I am so pleased I found this place, myself, my partner and our Lakeland terrier loved it and we would book this apartment again. Thankyou!
