This is a first floor holiday flat, situated in a mews accommodation block in the grounds of the Inn on the Lake Hotel, at Glenridding on Ullswater, Cumbria. The hotel has excellent facilities, beautiful gardens and boasts some of the finest views to be found in the Lake District. It is a very popular hotel and hosts weddings throughout the year.

The flat is well equipped and is cosy and comfortable and would suit a family or small group of friends. This is the perfect place to relax or to enjoy the full range of activities the outdoors can give you.

Interaction with guests
Regretfully I do not live nearby, so cannot meet and greet you. However, access is by using a key safe located next to the front door. Further details on this are provided once full payment is made. Our caretaker, Jayne, does lives in the village and can be contacted in the case of an emergency or other issue with the flat. I can also be contacted by phone and will do my best to sort any issues out.

The flat is in an excellent location for walks with a good selection of pubs. Comfortable and spacious, it is dog friendly with good facilities. Will visit again.

Lovely flat as reviewed by others. Paul has emailed detailed instructions well before our arrival so never had any problem. Aira force waterfall is couple of miles away. Flat is literally next to Lake and has beautiful scenic views around. Would love to visit again.

About the neighborhood
Glenridding has glorious views towards Place Fell. The jetties line up perfectly with Silver Point and is one of the most photographed views in the Lake District. Glenridding boasts two major hotels, 'The Glenridding' and 'The Inn on the Lake', as well as a pub and several cafes. Food, drink, souvenirs and walking equipment are available in the local shops and there is an excellent Tourist Information Centre based in the village.<BR><BR>The flat is situated in the grounds of 'The Inn on the Lake' Opposite to the Flat is The Ramblers Bar which sells fine food, wines and beer and which has a small games room and Sky TV. The hotel management may close this to the public from time to time to accommodate the many weddings they host.<BR><BR>
Getting around
Glenridding has bus service, all year round to Penrith.
Glenridding is also the main stop for the Ullswater Steamers which now ply the length of the lake all year round.

How to get there
Railway: Penrith: 12.4 mi
If coming by rail, there is a regular bus service direct from Penrith railway station to Glenridding, with a very short walk to the flat.<BR><BR>Coming by car from the South, you can either leave by the South Lakes turn-off, the A591 and come over the Kirkstone Pass or come in via the M6 exit at Penrith. Coming from the North, the Penrith exit is best via the A592. In winter conditions the Kirkstone Pass is frequently closed so come via Penrith.<BR>
