The dining room has French doors that open out onto the cobblestone sun terrace and swimming pool area, that also has a shower room. Back inside, the stairs lead up to the rest of the bedrooms, two twin bedrooms (that share a bathroom), two double bedrooms and a further twin bedroom, as well as another full family bath/shower room. All bedrooms have air conditioning units and are light and inviting. The outdoor areas are particularly nice; there is an adjoining casita with the original bread oven and built-in barbecue area under a covered terrace next to the the pool area and a wide open terrace with dining furniture, ideal for long summer al fresco meals. The nicely lit swimming pool with Roman steps has a sun deck and comfortable sun lounges and nice views of the valley and the mountains in the background. The villa is the perfect option for trekkers and excursionists since there are plenty of mountain tracks and routes in the very area. The villa is very quietly situated, with absolute privacy, yet you are only a short drive from beaches, the picturesque Pollensa village with its plaza, tapas bars, restaurants and shops. Spacious villa with great views of the hills, decent pool in a rural location but close to Pollenca
We had a great stay in a well appointed villa with reasonable sized pool set in a beautiful location surrounded by hills. The bedrooms were mostly well sized and accommodated 11 of us easily. It is quite rural - complete with farm next door sheep, horses and cockerels crowing in the morning. There were a few issues, but after one email, they were all remedied by the next day, so great service from the property manager. Not a lot of outdoor lighting if sitting outside after dark if wanting to read or play cards. The road up to the villa is narrow. Indoor seating could be improved by providing more comfortable seating all together. Pollecnca is a really nice little town with some great restaurants. the better value ones tend to be just off the main squares. Tapas is good everywhere. Port de Pollenca - good resaurants were Osteria 15 (in the main square) and Tapas y Punto on the sea front pine walk. Activities We rented road bikes from ProCycle Hire in Port de Pollenca which was excellent and we would definitely recommend them. Good quality bikes and friendly helpful service. Great tarmac all round and plenty of hills. The road out to the lighthouse past Formentor was beautiful. can also wind-surf and sail in Port de Pollenca and wi-bit inflatables are good too. Cala San Vincenc is beautiful has 3 great beaches (the middle one is hidden and you follow the steps down between the 2 hotels). Go early to get a space. Kayaking was good here with sea stacks and small caves. Snorkelling is OK here. Also some great steps for jumping off out on the middle headland - follow the one way road from the top of the hill out onto the headland and the steps are down on your left just before you turn back on yourself by the railings. DO NOT waste your time at the Arinal waterpark at peak season. Huge queues, not many rides - a total waste of a day we won't get back.

About the neighborhood
Pollensa and its surroundings is one of the most beautiful areas of the island and an ideal retreat for vacationers who are looking for the original Mallorca as well as outstanding beaches. Here a diverse landscape merges with well-kept sandy beaches and coves nestled into cliff lines beckoning to swim. Old and young will enjoy the fine white sand beaches and gentle turquoise waves. The bay of Pollensa is very popular with the marine community and offers excellent opportunities for water sports, including sailing and kite surfing. The old fisherman's village has conserved its typical charm and is very appreciated for its long beach and its emblematic sea front stroll, the'Pine Walk'. From Puerto Pollensa a short drive through breathtaking landscape takes you to Formentor, the lost utopia. Its pine bordered beach with the imposing mountain background has captivated many artists and painters . The Sierra de Tramuntana is ideally suited for hiking and biking excursions. Cala San Vicente offers crystal clear water, ideal for diving and snorkling, and a resort with a familiar atmosphere. Pollensa is the perfect starting point to explore the whole island; plunge into the lush emerald flora with centenary olive and pine groves, almond and fig trees and into the maze of Pollensa's narrow Moorish streets with numerous cafés and shops scattered around the picturesque town square, where you also find many high standard restaurants. The quiet village life conquers many visitors and renting a town house is becoming an attractive alternative to villas and apartments. Sights like the Calvary or the Roman Bridge, interesting places and events like the municipal museum, the Music Festival and numerous art exhibitions make Pollensa attractive and inviting. Whatever you are looking for, a beach holiday, a water sports holiday, a quiet retreat or even a cultural and gastronomic feast - Pollensa is the place to visit. Welcome!
