Finca Cuxach is a beautiful old stone farmhouse in one of Pollenca´s most prestigious locations, La Font - in lovely countryside outside the old town. The house has been lovingly restored by the owners and is the ideal family hideaway. It is a quiet and private place with beautiful gardens surrounding the swimming pool and a gated driveway. Finca Cuxach has many original Mallorcan features such as whitewashed walls and beamed ceilings, as well as modern facilities. The entrance hall leads into an open-plan living and dining room, with a traditional stone fireplace, circular mahogany dining table and satellite television. The neat kitchen has appliances including a microwave, a fridge-freezer and a breakfast bar. There is also a separate laundry room. Also on the ground floor are two of the bedrooms, a twin and a queen size, both with sunny views of the garden. They have antique Mallorcan furniture, terracotta-tiled floors and plenty of storage in fitted wardrobes. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk in shwoer. A staircase leads to a master bedroom area which takes up the whole of the upper floor. It has an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower, a dressing room area, and views over the gardens and pool. The gardens are lush and colourful with views of the Boquer mountains. , In s summer, you can pick oranges and lemons, figs and avocados. A covered stone terrace runs along the pool-side of the house, with garden furniture, a table-tennis table and stone barbecue. This is the perfect all-day place for shading from the sun and eating outside. The pool is also floodlit at night which is ideal for evening on the terrace relaxing. Restaurants and shops are within 25 minutes walk and just a 2-minute drive away, and the beach is only a 5-minute drive. Linen is changed once per week . Couldn't fault this property
Perfect villa, with the most beautiful grounds, help yourself to the figs, lemons, limes, pomegranites (if in season ) great sized swimming pool where you could have a proper swim, reasonable comfortable sunbeds and the villa is always in the sun somewhere around the pool , extra sunbathing towels to use along with various lilo's and toy equipment which possibly other users of the villa left (as did we) . The villa is extremely clean, everything you need for self catering although we did eat out a lot, the bbq is big enough for a 6 person meal Eating alfresco was a pleasure with two options of eating areas both in the shade and very comfortable. The bedrooms were airy and the added bonus of two double bed rooms (rare in a villa) and a twin room, beds reasonable comfortable although the bed on the ground floor was a little noisy in that the headboard was attached to the wall so when you moved in bed it was noisy, bathrooms were a little dated but we particularly wanted a typical Majorcan villa not a modern shiny place and it fit the bill. Plenty of hot water for showers which was also a bonus and a huge amount of clean towels which were changed during our 10 day stay. Sitting areas has two comfortable sofas (only sat in them for a short time), tv, music system and a couple of dvds, and books, cards and dominoes although to be honest we were only indoors to sleep, pour drinks and prepare food. Spare double fridge in the laundry room which was great as we washed all our clothes before returning home, bonus. The villas is a little of the beaten track down a very dark narrow road ( of villas) if walking bring a torch, so a car is needed , if you want to have a glass of wine or two then a taxi is approximately 6 euros into Pollensa and 10 euros into Porto Pollensa. There is a Lidl and Eroski supermarket more or less opposite the entrance to the road the villa is situated best to take the car. Would I return , most definitely, the peacefulness, the grounds, the villa made it the perfect holiday for us (two couples). Thanks to the owners and those that assist in maintaining this villa to such a high standard.

About the neighborhood
Finca Cuixac is in a very quiete area at the outside of Pollensa called La Font. From the property to the town of Pollensa is aprox. 15 minutes walking and is a very nice walk through the country side with views of the mountains. Many locals use this road for promenades Is also an ideal place for children. The villa is very private and has a gate. Only 5 minutes driving you get to the Old town Pollensa where you will find all tipe of restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets boutiques and the nice and popular market of food, local produce, arts and crafts, flowers, ... placed on the square everys sunday.
Getting around
Very near the villa, less than 5 minutes driving there are two supermarkets, Eroski and Lidl. The sandy beach of Puerto Pollensa is only 5minutes driving as well as Cala San Vicente Cove beach., 10 minutes to Alcudia and 20 minutes to Formentor.
