This self-catering cottage is part of our residential property and is set in a fynbos garden overlooking breathtaking views of False Bay and beyond. It is the perfect base to explore the exciting adventures in the Cape, and comfortable and quiet enough to just kick back, read a book or have a daily swim from our wonderful beaches. While we understand people think such a small town is only worth 1 night's stay, we really recommend that you stay 2 or many more. There is so much to do in Simon's Town and the surrounding area, that one night really does not do it justice. Parking is available on the street or inside the driveway. Being on a mountain, the cottage is up an incline. It is not entirely suitable for the elderly or people with physical challenges. Pleasant stay

We had a very pleasant stay in this lovely establishment. Perfect place to stay in if you want to explore cape, very reasonable rate and homely.

About the neighborhood
Simon's Town is a historic naval base overflowing with legends, victorian architecture and delicious eating houses. Harbour Heights Cottage is situated above the main town, has a view overlooking the working naval docks, and is close to the coves and beaches, including the legendary Boulders Beach (with the world's largest jackass penguin colony). While we understand people think such a small town is only worth 1 night's stay, we really recommend that you stay 2 or more. There is so much to do in Simon's Town and the surrounding area, that one night really does not do it justice. Whales, ships, yachts and incredible sunrises can be viewed from the double bed. The cottage is at the top of a stepped pathway that will take you to town. Simon
Getting around
A train connects Simon's Town from Cape Town - the train station is a 2km walk (with some of it being uphill). It is possible to see Simon's Town and all its delights on foot (in fact, it is better to explore it by foot!) but to get the best of the delights of the peninsular it is recommended that you hire a car. From the cottage, the town and beaches are all accessible down footpaths and the Tredree Steps go from the gate down to the main road.
