The Space
The beach house situated meters from a very private beach. It has a lovely big bedroom, a loft, a living room, kitchenette and a bathroom. Watch dolphins jumping in and out of the water from your bed ! ... enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. We are a family of five: mother, father, and three lively, lovely girls...

Great location, great house, tremendous hosts
We really enjoyed our c. 1 week stay over Christmas. Hosts prepared Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners for us that were delicious. We walked the beach every day, and enjoyed photographing nature. Very tranquil and relaxing. I could spend a long time at this location and hope to return. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Sandra provided lots of goodies for breakfasts.

Maravilloso
We spent the last 3 days of our summer holiday at this beatiful spot.
We were most warmly welcomed and we found everything to our absolute satisfaction.
From the appearance of the house to its interior and surrounding. The landscape is magnificent, the lovely beach just in front of the house. From each room of the house you have marvelous looks to the beach. There is also much privacy.
Our 3 boys enjoyed very much one of the owners dogs, named Clara. The four of them played hours together.
It was too short a stay for this time, but we will return next year for a week.

Great place!
A cozy house in a beautiful setting.
The island is fantastic, the beach amazing, but the best are Sandra and Britt.

Beautiful and tranquil!
We only stayed one night in this seaside casita and loved it! We arrived in the rain
and built a cozy fire in the wood-burning stove and warmed up. A walk on
the beach gave us a great appreciation for the ocean and the rural setting.
The skies cleared the next morning but we had to say goodbye to this peaceful
rental. The owners were very helpful while booking and we were pleased with
their assistance once we arrived.

Increíble!!
Fuimos a pasar Año nuevo a Chiloé. Ibamos con muchas expectativas que fueron ampliamente superadas. La Casita de Mar es muy linda y confortable, tiene todo lo necesario para pasarla bien. Es ideal para un matrimonio y niños, ya que hay un dormitorio principal muy cómodo y una vista insuperable. Tiene un pequeño entrepiso muy lindo para niños y un futón adicional en la sala de estar. Fuimos con nuestros 4 hijos (2 adolescentes) y a pesar de no tener tele ni wifi (principal "problema" de los adolescentes) la pasaron fantástico. La playa esta a 10 metros de la entrada a la casita, playa de arena y agua tranquila. No hay ningún peligro para los niños, pueden caminar por casi 4 km de playas o pescar desde la orilla.
Sus dueños, Sandra y Britt, son muy amables y buena onda. Pasar un rato charlando con ellos es un placer, ni hablar si la tarde está linda y alguno de sus amigos toca algo de música en la playa!!
Tienen 3 hermosas hijas que se hicieron amigas de los nuestros y disfrutaron juntos de este paraiso. También tienen 4 perros que acompañaron a los chicos en todo momento.
La Isla de chiloé es muy linda, pero estar en la Casita no te dan ganas de salir!!
Fuimos a Castro, imperdible, y a la pinguinera, un lindo paseo.
La cuidad cercana, Ancud, es pequeña pero cuenta con todo lo necesario.
Muchas gracias Sandra por estos días espectaculares.
Vamos a volver!!

Beachy, fresh, tranquil, private -- kind hosts.
Wow! Talk about natural beauty! I had to pinch myself each morning when I awoke to the sprawling vista of the lake in the forefront and the three volcanos in the background (one located in Argentina!) from my bed (one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in). This house on the bay outside of Ancud was just perfect! Beautiful space inside and out. Awesome, clean design that blends perfectly with the beauty of the beach just steps away (very long, white sandy beach with 100% sand beneath your feet in the water as well), tall, natural grasses waving in the breeze surround the home. Beachy, fresh, tranquil, private describe best. We were 5 adults staying 2 nights. Everything you could need in this well designed space. Property is a short drive from the bustle of town. Driveway requires 4x4 to get to house. Sandra and Britt are wonderful local resources and have a healthy respect for nature -- we appreciated their efforts in reducing consumption as well as composting and recycling & encouraging their guests to do the same. They are kind and friendly hosts, as are their dogs (we got to know Victoria, a large, very friendly, gentle dog particularly well -- she welcomed us warmly as we came and went:) We really toiled when planning this trip, in particular, where to locate ourselves for our 2 nights on Chiloé. Having been there, I think the location was perfect. We drove 1/2 hour to see the penguin colonies, and were also able to drive to Castro the same day to see all the wooden churches, etc. This home was a little slice of heaven and I would have stayed for 2 months if I had the time.

About the neighborhood
Thirteen years ago we built our house and little y little a few places for guests to stay. We live in our property permanently and here we bring up a family surrounded by nature in a very pristine environment. Our neighbors are dispersed in the countryside and we are very fortunate to have them close but not too close so we are still have a lot of privacy in every way There are no shops near our house so guest will have to bring their own food form town (6.4 km away). However, when our fishermen neighbors go pass with wonderful seafood and fish our guest can buy directly from them at the beach. Besides the restaurants in Ancud, the nearest restaurant is in a town called Quetalmahue, about 8km from us towards the Pacific side (opposite direction to Ancud). If you are not with a car we can organize your pick from the bus station and we can do the same to take you into town at the end of your stay, this must be arranged with time. We go daily to take our kids to school and to go to work so you can have a ride with us if you can adjust to our schedule. There is public transport you can use to get into town at any other times. <BR>All of our guest find our place unique and beautiful, we know you will not regret

They can take our guests up to the top of the hill (400 mts. walk from the property) If our guests rent their own car, a 4x4 will come all the way to the property, but a 4x2 will have to stay 400 mts up the hill. Everyone who stayed was happy to walk and we help them out when needed.

We are located only 6.4 km out of the town of Ancud. However the privacy of our place makes it feel miles away. We will give you more directions when you have your booking ready. We do not give maps prior to keep our beautiful place as private as possible.
