To the outside you will find plenty of off-road parking and a gravelled courtyard with furniture. Town: The historic market town of Langport in the Somerset levels, at the crossing point of the River Parrett. Its central location makes it a thriving hub for local villages and an ideal base to explore the surrounding area, as well as the Somerset Levels, one of England’s most unchanged Landscapes.

Fantastic retreat
We were so fortunate to find Woodpecker Lodge as it tied in perfectly location wise with a three day bike ride my husband was taking part in. The cottage is definitely five star, Fiona and Gary have thought of absolutely everything to make you have a relaxing break. Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean, Woodpecker Lodge is in a lovely rural location with so many things to do within close range. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch on arrival and our Whippet also enjoyed his treats. The property has a fully enclosed, secure courtyard at the rear and also a secure area for your car at the front of the property which is great. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday and we want to thank Fiona and Gary for their fantastic hospitality and kind help.
