Come and unwind at our woodland lodge, uniquely situated just a short stroll from the centre of the picturesque town of Church Stretton in the Shropshire Hills AONB and blogged by TripAdvisor as "one of the most luxurious cabins on the planet"! Oaks Lodge is popular for a mini-moon or anyone seeking a relaxing short break. For late deals please find Oaks Lodge on TripAdvisor and click 'Call Owner' to reveal mobile number to call/text. One night stays available if there is a one night gap in the calendar. Your luxury lodge is nestled in a 1/3 acre woodland dingle in the owners garden beneath a canopy of oak trees. Unwind in the hot tub, surrounded by the natural beauty of mature oaks and the lodge's modern western red cedar cladding, whilst listening to the soothing background trickle of the stream as it meanders beneath you. Sit back and relax with an evening drink on the composite decking, warmed by the Burda electric heater, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and squirrels chasing each other around the branches of the oak trees. Oaks Lodge is accessed from a dedicated parking area by a gravel path (approximately 80m long) located along the lower level of the owners' secluded, tiered garden. As you walk along the pathway through carefully chosen shrubs and planted slopes and pass through a gateway of two magnificent oak trees, you gain your first glimpse of the lodge; the elevated balcony and front windows with the stream below flowing gently from the waterfall behind (except during periods of low rainfall!). It's a truly unique, magical and private space and yet only a short walk into Church Stretton town offering a variety of independent specialist shops and a good selection of eateries and pubs/bars. After a day's activities you can retreat into your personal haven and relax. Oaks Lodge has been designed with luxury and relaxation in mind, yet is offered with a realistic price tag. We want you to enjoy your stay with us, whether you are planning a romantic getaway or mini-moon, an activity break or simply some relaxing time to yourselves. From your elevated private balcony and hot tub, you can enjoy wonderful views, through the trees, of the Long Mynd and areas of the town. It's hard to believe that Oaks Lodge is only five minutes' walk away from the train station and a few minutes more into the centre of Church Stretton. It's this mix of seclusion yet close proximity to local amenities that really sets Oaks Lodge apart. We believe the little things make the biggest memories. Inside, we have striven to provide everything you might expect from a luxurious getaway: underfloor heating, a cosy flame-effect fire, a fully-equipped kitchen, powerful rain shower, super king bed and outdoor hot tub are just some of the touches that we believe will make your stay extra special. As we are a small, family run enterprise, we are always on hand to give you advice, if wanted and help, when needed. Our goal is to ensure that you have an unforgettable time at Oaks Lodge. We partner with GloPamper where you can book spa treatments to be taken at Oaks Lodge to make your stay even more special so please take a look. For those exploring further afield, the train station is a five minute walk away. Train journeys to Shrewsbury and Ludlow take a little over 10 minutes offering sights, retail therapy and food experiences. Both our lodges are sumptuously equipped for a truly memorable stay. Strictly no pets. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate children (please contact for babes in arms). A proper luxurious weekend away.
My partner and I stayed for 2 nights and wish it was longer. The lodge is very impressive and set amongst the trees hidden away. Everything was well thought off even a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and ice in the Ice box. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. They showed us how Everything worked and how to get in contact with them if needed. Church Stretton itself is a lovely town and although it was raining we walked up the long mynd. Very scenic but am sure on a dry day it would have been breathtaking. There are a couple of lovely cafes in Church Stretton worth visiting. We stayed in during the evening enjoying the hot tub listening to the birds and the rain. Our only regret is the weekend flew by too quick. Would love to return one day and would certainly recommend it. There are no negatives. 5 stars all the way.

Relaxing Break
The whole holiday staying in the cabin was perfect, everything was well thought out by Mark and Sara right down to the Prosecco in the fridge on our arrival. The communication throughout our stay was perfect and all the facilities were as described in the advert. Our only trouble was the smoke alarm which liked to warn us quite regularly while cooking despite having the fan on and the windows open so it would probably have been best for us to plan the cooking around this!! All in all though the stay was just what we needed with plenty of lovely walks around.

Super relaxing weekend!
Wow what a lovely weekend me and my husband had! The lodge is stunning, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We couldn’t believe how peaceful it was, we loved seeing all the wildlife just from sitting on the balcony. We also really enjoyed visiting the local towns, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury. Thank you Sara and Mark for a great weekend, we will definitely be recommending and returning!!

Amazing
Our son decided he wanted to treat us to a break away. I'm so glad he chose this place. We had a wonderful time. So relaxing until the hubby decided to drag me on a 12 mile hike. I wouldn't change anything though. The lodge is lovely. Sara and Mark are lovely people. Just wish we could of stayed longer. I definitely want to go back.

Relax and unwind
Had a fabulous few days in oaks lodge. It’s tucked away surrounded by trees. Very private and secluded. Lodge was very clean with plenty of towels and bath robes to use too. Spent time sat by fire and on balcony listening to the birds and the stream. Enjoyed the hot tub especially in the evenings listening to the owls. Came home feeling very relaxed. Hope to visit again and would definitely recommend!

A cosy retreat that's hard to beat.
What am amazing place in a beautiful, private location. The owners have created a perfect haven for anyone wanting to get away from it all. Loved the hot tub and the wine the owners provided on arrival was very welcome. Stunning views and great amenities within a 10 min walk. A fabulous area for walking, sightseeing or just pootling around the shops. We absolutely loved it.
