Thursday’s Corner is both an intimate retreat as well as a base for exploring the historic market town of Church Stretton, or ‘Little Switzerland’ as it is also known, because of the surrounding hills. Set in South Shropshire’s ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, Thursday’s Corner is approximately 7 minutes’ walk from the train station. If driving, once parked up outside (free parking in Cunnery Road, directly at the side of the cottage), should you wish, you need never drive again for the entirety of your stay. Thursday’s Corner is less than a 2-minute walk away from this market town’s pubs, restaurants, supermarket, Post Office, boutique shops and a fabulous antique market that you can browse away for hours in, should you wish.

Guests can also enjoy walks straight from Thursday’s Corner up onto the Long Mynd or across the valley to Ragleth Hill, Hazler Hill and the famous Caer Caradoc. If a walk doesn’t appeal, there is a regular shuttle bus that runs up over the Long Mynd, returning to Church Stretton. This service runs through the summer months and allows you to soak up the beautiful scenery from the comfort of a seat, whilst someone else drives.
The beautiful medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are easily visited by rail, bus or car from Thursday’s Corner, both being approximately 20 minutes’ drive away. Telford’s award-winning Ironbridge and Blists Hill Museums are also approximately 25 minutes’ drive away.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or queries or if you would like to make a reservation. We do indeed have many guests who return to stay at Thursday’s time and time again: What better recommendation is there than that.
We look forward to welcoming you at Thursday’s Corner.

This is a return visit to Thursday Corner. We will return again for sure as it never disappoints. The cottage is gorgeous. Retained Tudor features inside. Spotlessly clean. Everything you could possibly need is catered for. Lovely warm welcome from owners with a bottle of wine, chocolate and crisps. The climbs are plentiful and the local pub (Kings Arms) serves great beer and food. Plenty of shops, cafes Aswell as local train station which takes you to Shrewsbury in 15 mins or even Ludlow.
This cottage is well kept, great price, perfect location and views.
We can’t fault it at all. The owners have a little gem.

Amazing
Church Stretton is a beautiful place to visit. It has amazing views, amazing walks, great places to visit and eat out. Thursday corner cottage is a lovely property and perfectly located within Church stretton, with free parking. Everything you need is at the cottage, the hosts are very helpful (dropped outside chairs to us so we could watch an outside event). Great maps for easy walk and hard walk all available in the cottage. We had a great time and will definitely return.

Cottage of Contentment
'Thursday's Corner ' Cottage Church Stretton, is in an excellent location, just a couple of minutes from the centre of Church Stretton amenities (Shops, Pubs, Coffee Bars).
The owners welcomed us into the cottage giving information about the local area.
It's location is ideal for climbing the 'Long Mynd' , again only minutes away.
Everything you need is in the cottage including a log burner (NB The Central heating system is lovely to keep the cottage comfortable when out in the chilly weather).
A lovely touch was the owners leaving us a welcome pack.
We would 100% book this lovely bolt hole again. Many thanks to the owners Li & Leigh.

Never disappoints.
This is the third time we've stayed at Thursday's Corner and it won't be the last! In these days of uncertainty it was a haven of peace, and gave us a welcome break from normality. The accomodation as usual was first class and the hosts very welcoming.
All things being equal we'll certainly be back next year.

A little gem in Little Switzerland
A beautifully equipped home from home that's much more spacious than it looks from its bijou exterior. We loved the log fire on a chilly evening, although the central heating was excellent and the cottage was always cosy. The huge bed was exceptionally comfortable and unlike many holiday cottages the equipment was new and good quality. The locaiton was absolutely perfect for seeing Church Stretton on foot and other parts of Shropshire by car. We were a bit anxious about the lack of off street parking but we needn't have worried as there was always space along the road beside the cottage. All in all a great experience.

Great place to stay in Church Stretton
We were really pleased with the cottage - much bigger than it looks from pictures very comfortable & very conveniently located - we do not have a car so the nearness of the co-op, pub and bus stop very useful! In fact one could get off the bus and two steps be in the cottage.
Church Stretton such a lovely area so much to see and so many lovely walks we do hope to return and if so we will want to stay at Thursday Cottage again.
