Lovely railway style cabin
We enjoyed our stay here for the weekend. My kids loved the bunk bed. Thanks for the crumpets, butter and milk. Right next door to Lincolnshire Wolds Steam Railway!

Great little place.
We stayed with Jenny twice in the last year, once in the cabin and once on the caravan site. We had two lovely stays. Before we arrived Jenny had already introduced her self so we felt very welcomed. When we arrived she showed us around and pointed out that she was nextdoor if we needed anything. The cabin had everything we needed. I think our stay was reasonably priced but I think it could demand a higher price if a few things were improved. The bed wasn't very comfy and nor was the sofa. The few things that needed improvement may have been addressed now though as we did point them out at the time. If you stay here and need any info on the area do not hesitate to give Jenny a knock as her or her husband will be very happy to chat. When we visited the caravan site we couldn't fault it for the price. It is basic with a toilet, shower and washing up area, for the price we haven't found better. We look forward to visiting the caravan site again in the near future.

Lovely little place, comfy accommodation and quiet location.
Very quiet location, surrounded by fields, on the Ludborough railway station with steam trains and events, nearest pub is a 30 minute walk along the country road. Nice drive to the coast, 25/35/50 minutes to Cleethorpes/mablethorpe/skegvegas. 15 minutes from Lough, which is a lovely town. The cottage itself is caringly decorated and comfy, packed with whatever you may need for your stay, Including breakfast stuffs and sauces etc. Outside seating and dining area on decking overlooks the other cottages and land, little or no noise, wonderful to relax, literal silence on a night. Very roomy for two. The hosts were friendly and helpful, will definitely be staying again, haven’t stopped telling people what a lovely place it was and brilliant value for money.

About the neighborhood
Cygnus is situated in The Old Station Yard, alongside the Lincolnshire Wolds Steam Railway Station. The area is flat and affords fabulous views towards the Lincolnshire Wolds, and open skies with stunning sunsets to the west. Traditional seaside towns and conservation areas suit both the fun seeker and those seeking solitude and nature. There are 2 pubs serving food, both a level mile's stroll away, besides other excellent pubs and eateries a little further. The lovely market town of Louth is just a short drive away. Voted Britain's favourite market town, it's quaint streets, lovely shops, antiques, pubs and restaurant make it a must to visit. During late autumn and winter, visitors can see the seals that come up to breed at Donna Nook nature reserve. For the thrill seekers, Cadwell Park race track is a great day out and beautiful, historic Lincoln is approx. 50 minute drive away. Please note from our location on the map that, we are in a lovely countryside location. Driving is the best means of transport around, although cycling is a great idea (generally nice and flat!). In addition, a bus route to either Louth or Grimsby direction is a mile walk away. Also, our lovely country pub is just a pleasant 1 mile stroll down a country lane.

How to get there
When on the A16 Louth to Grimsby road, follow the brown tourism signs for the Steam Railway in the direction of Fulstow. The Old Station Yard is through the big gate, just before the level crossing. Cygnus is the second cabin on the left. For sat nav, use DN36 5SH For the sake of other guests and residents on site, the latest time for arrivals is 10pm. The main site gate is closed around that time for security.
