Nestling just below Stinchcombe Hill in Gloucestershire this house, which is constructed in the “Arts and Crafts” style, enjoys an elevated but sheltered position. It stands in its own grounds of about nine acres, with sculpted hedges and intricate patterned lawns and terracing, and enjoys extensive and impressive views to the south over the Severn Vale and to the west the distant Black Mountains. About the neighborhood
There’s plenty to do in the area around the house. Try Bourton-on-the-Water or Nailsworth, Minchinhampton and Cirencester for towns with Cotswold charm. Visit Uley Brewery for a variety of bitters and ales, or sample the barley beers on offer at Stroud Brewery. For a two-Michelin-starred foodie treat, head out to Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham. Bristol and Bath are only a 30 minute drive away and you can shop at Cribbs Causeway or Bristol’s Cabot’s Circus, or visit Bristol Zoo and Bristol Aquarium. Bath is famous for its fantastic Georgian Architecture and Roman Baths and is also great for shopping too. There are museums, shops and cafes at Gloucester Docks.
