This property is centrally located in Old Town Padstow. Originally, this was the Old Police House and has the tallest door in Padstow to accommodate the police hats worn in those days!
The Quay and centre of town are on the doorstep, a level stroll away, but the house is perfectly positioned and a bit tucked back from the busy town streets.
The building comprises of two apartments and each apartment has the fantastic advantage of adjoining parking for one vehicle in the shared car park alongside the house.

The Quay car parks are a few minutes flat walk away and offer come and go long-stay tickets. A standard family car, smaller MPV or standard estate car would be fine.
PETS: A maximum of two small to medium dogs are very welcome, although we do not accept dogs under 6 months old. Please advise at the time of booking. We do not have any garden, but the Church Woods are only a short stroll up the lane for your dogs to enjoy morning and evening exercise, The town beaches are a longer walk in the other direction - about 15 to 20 mins.
Most beaches and local pubs allow dogs.

APARTMENT 2 - ONE BEDROOM.

We would describe the apartment as 4 star Padstow accommodation, this one bedroomed - Apartment 2 is very comfortable, has character and is very well located. Linen is supplied, but please bring your own beach towels and flannels.
We take bookings for couples or singles in this apartment only.
A lot of improvements have been made recently, including double glazing throughout, slate hung exterior wall, new carpets throughout and lovely new bathrooms. Look out for more improvements over the forthcoming years!
Initial access is through the private rear stable door, although there is access through the front entrance, too. From this shared front hallway each apartment has its own access.
Apartment 2 is located on the ground floor, although there are a few steps to access the back entrance and two low steps up to the front entrance.
There is a good sized bedroom, with a Double Bed, off the interior hallway, along with a separate, newly refurbished bathroom, which has a roomy shower cubicle, featuring a waterfall shower, rather than a bath.
Also off the interior hallway is a Lounge/Diner which has a twin sofa and an armchair, with a Flat Screen Smart TV and DVD player. There is a small dining table and two chairs available.
The good-sized and well equipped Kitchen is separated from the lounge and has an electric 4-ringed hob, an electric oven with grill, and a microwave oven. There is also a fridge. Please do note: There is no dishwasher, washing machine or freezer within the property, although there is a nearby laundrette in Wadebridge.
There are new Electric Panel Radiators in the bedroom and lounge. These can be controlled easily by our guests.
There is a fan heater in the kitchen and bathroom, plus some spare electric heaters available, should they be needed. A cooling fan is supplied, too, for hot, summer months!
The hot water is electrically heated throughout.
There is access to the bin through a stable door at the rear of the property. The outside space belongs to the house at the rear, but the steps have shared access for both houses.There is double glazing, but the property is very central so please be prepared for a little passing noise, although the street is very quiet, generally.
Preferred Saturday changeover bookings in high season and Fridays may not be available during the summer holiday weeks. Please enquire first at these times.
We can be more flexible in low season and try to accommodate shorter lets, but for a minimum of 3 nights.
Check in on Fridays is after 5.30pm and 5pm on other days. Check out is 10.00am.
If you are staying for two weeks, a local cleaner can come in after the first week for an additional fee of £25
Please do note that there is an apartment above this one. We have put new underlay in to keep noise to a minimum but, as in all old houses, it is impossible to completely mask.
We will require a home address for the main booker, a contact number and the names of all guests over 16yrs before entry codes are given, please.
There is a damage deposit arrangement and we will not tolerate deliberate damage to the property. We will also not tolerate excessive disturbance to the other apartment or our neighbours. Small breakages will not be charged for, but please let us know so they can be replaced for our next guests.
NB Covid policy is a full refund/choice of new dates if the government restricts travel and it will affect your holiday.

This was our second stay and everything was perfect. This apartment is particularly good as my husband has difficulty walking and he was able to go straight out the door independently and walk to the town. Sally is a lovely host and is available when needed.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A jewel in the crown
Our first time stopping at the old police house apartment 2 in padstow what a gem of a place so clean and well equipped out with eveything you need the bed was so comfortable can’t fault a thing so close to restaurants ,beach ,harbour this apartment is the one to book if your visiting padstow we will definetely be back a big thankyou to Sally and all concerned you made our holiday so enjoyable 😊

5 Star Accommodation
I stayed in Apartment 2, Old Police House, Padstow from 4th to 11th June 2022. It's right in the center of Padstow so literally 1 or 2 mins walk to the Harbour. Having it's own parking space was fantastic as they are hard to find. The apartment had everything you could possible need on holiday and most of it looked very recent so worked perfectly. The whole place was spotlessly clean and I wish I had their shower at my own house, it was fantactic.
I can't report any issue, downside or annoying thing I found there. Perfect holiday accommodation.

Old Police House Padstow
Great apartment with everything you need for exploring Padstow and North Cornwall.
Less than 5 min walk to Padstow Harbour & the bonus of allocated parking .
Sally the owner incredibly helpful and very easy to deal with .
Highly recommend and only disappointment was leaving Padstow.

A superb place to stay close to Padstow harbour
The apartment was very modern and very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cutlery, crockery and condiments need. The bathroom was very, very good with an excellent power shower. Parking was at the side of the property and was made safe by a locked chain across the entrance.
Padstow harbour, pubs, pasties, sourdough bread and ice cream were only a short walk away.
The ideal place to stay!!

A fantastic stay!
Thank you so much to the owner Sally: We had a wonderful time.
Ever detail has been thought of in the apartment, it was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. We have visited previously, over 5 years ago, and can see how much investment has been put into the property since then with a stunning new bathroom, improved heating and work to the outside of the property too.
The location is perfect and so very convenient, we enjoyed lovely walks on the beach and eating at nearby restaurants and pubs - there is so much choice! Sally also provides lots of information about exploring further afield and as a result we really enjoyed our visit to Constantine Bay and Booby’s Bay.

Perfect in every way
I had a 3 night stay at this apartment and it was perfect!! Sally allowed my little dog to come with me and we had a lovely time. The apartment was so lovely, comfortable and immaculate and was so well kitted out, Sally had thought of everything including a Xmas card and bag of gifts for me. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Fabulous Weekend Break
We had a fabulous three night break in the Old Police House. The apartment offers eveything that you need for a comfortable stay and is in the perfect location to explore the town. The owner (Sally) was super helpful with our booking and kept in touch with us to ensure we had everything that we needed during our stay. We will definetly be booking again and would highly recommend to others.

Padstow is a beautiful and historic harbour town, which still supports local fishing and has all the watersports you could need within easy access.
The restaurants and pubs in the area have something for everyone and the Camel Trail is fantastic for an easy day's cycling.
The nearest beaches are within a 10 minute walk, and Rock can be visited via a regular ferry service.
Excellent golf courses are within easy reach by car, as are all the glorious bays in the St Merryn area.
Most pubs and beaches in the area are dog friendly.
