Cottage
A 200 year old cottage which has recently been modernized and redecorated. Perfectly situated in the older quiet part of Padstow it is still within a few minutes walking distance not only of the lively atmospheric harbour but also of all of the restaurants, bars, cafes, pasty shops, art galleries and artisan outlets which the town centre offers. Just down the road a few doors from Paul Ainsworth’s Padstow Town House and approx. 100 metres from the Prideaux Place estate and deer park (you can see the deer from one of our bedrooms!) you really are ideally positioned. Beach walks, rock pools, ferries across the estuary to Rock are all similarly only minutes’ walk away.
Unusually for Padstow, the cottage has it's own garage and off road parking space for a standard sized car. There is a lovely private rear courtyard area, with a patio set for sitting out in the sun or dining/drinking into the warm evenings. If you want varied people watching there is also a smaller seating area at the front, in the “High street”.

Interaction with guests: I live only 2 miles from the cottage and I'm happy for anyone to phone me about any problems they may have in the cottage or even advice about the area. If I can in any way help to make your holiday easier and more enjoyable, I will do my best to make it so.
My wife and myself together with our Son, Daughter-in-law and our two dogs stayed over the Easter weekend. It was very handy having a garage although it is extremely tight to get into and easier to reverse in.
We have a Peugeot 5008 and that is the biggest car type you could get in due to the low doorway height.
The bedrooms were fine with enough room and storage space and the downstairs en-suite was handy but having the family bathroom also downstairs wasn’t ideal but given how tight the place is for space there obviously isn’t an alternative.
The kitchen was well equipped, the lounge was comfortable and spacious enough for four people and the outside seating area was also very roomy.
Of course the main benefit of the cottage is how close it is to the town; just a three minute walk down and a slightly longer walk back up the hill!
We would definitely stay here again

The location is amazing - just a couple of minutes to the harbour. This is a great family-friendly cottage plus the dog
In the heart of old Padstow, close to the shops and harbour but in a quiet road so not disturbed. Lovely 3-bed cottage. Extremely well equipped kitchen which looks out onto courtyard garden. Great for the summer. We were three generations visiting Padstow for a wedding and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely space, clean with everything you would need. Thank you.

Perfect cottage for a stay in Padstow
A beautiful cottage in a fantastic location and we had a great stay. The parking and garden sets it apart from others and the accommodation lay out was perfect for our family of 5.
Alison was so helpful at every stage of the booking and we can't wait to return!

A wonderful staycation
Our first visit to Cornwall and we weren’t disappointed. The cottage is so well equipped and comfortable and couldn’t be in a better position in Padstow . The added bonus of having off street parking and a garage just makes it even better.
Would definitely stay here again if we return to Padstow

The cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Padstow. Although retaining it’s charming fishing trade Padstow, due in no small part to it’s well known restaurateurs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth, is one of the most popular destinations in Cornwall and the UK. It's only a short walk to the start of the seven bays (beaches), with stunning natural views in all directions.
Regular ferries offer a very short hop across the Camel estuary to Rock, where you can find more beaches and walks and also the Sharps brewery where you can undertake a tour and taste the famous “Doombar” real ale. From here you can easily tour so many delights of Cornwall from Bodmin Moor to Land’s end. Take in quaint fishing villages, surfing life etc.
Getting around
A car is good but not essential as there is a regular bus service and there are also bicycle hire shops at the start of the camel trail which starts in Padstow and ends in Bodmin, which is a great cycle, full of natural beauty. Padstow and it’s surrounding area is walkers paradise with miles of beaches and also the South West Coast Path.
