A fun week on a cornish farm with our 2 year old and 5 year old daughters. We stayed in the serendipity cottage which is all on 1 level which is handy for a toddler. Melanie, our host, went out of her way to provide everything the girls and we could want - from plastic crockery to age appropriate toys to a slip mat for the bath. The girls loved taking the very tame sheep for a walk and playing on all the outside ride ons and various wendy houses. Despite a very wet weather week, our girls absolutely loved the swimming pool which was super clean and warm enough for even our 2 year old to enjoy. They both gained a lot of water confidence from being able to go in every day and have it to ourselves! They were both jumping off the side unaided by the end which was joyful.
The farm is very quiet; save for some duck chatter. We went to the lost gardens of heligan which had a brilliant playground and enjoyed food at rick stein's bistro and also the local pickwick Inn which had great service and nice food to boot.
Thanks Melanie and Mike for a great stay and all your efforts with our girls. X

Incredible Family Holiday
We all had the best time here at Trevorrick farm, our two boys had a really fun time creating special memories, everything from swimming & playing on the farm where there is abundance of outdoor play equipment suitable for children, wooden tractors and farmshops as well as a playhouse absolutely filled with toddler toys, plenty of little tikes cars, slides and climbing frames. We loved waking up to the friendly sheep everyday, holding ducklings, feeding the pigs, walking sheep and grooming the horse. It was amazing! The private swimming pool sessions were a real treat, we made use of that most days. The cottage itself was immaculate with everything you need, and more! The hottub was lovely and amazingly clean! The cottage is perfect for couples but also great for families too Melanie supplied childrens books, childrens dining essentials and also tons of appropriate toys for our boys, I think they thought it was Christmas day. Melanie and Mike are very friendly & helpful but also allow you to enjoy your holiday in peace. The farm is a quick drive to many beaches, a supermarket & padstow town, where there is plenty to enjoy. Were so glad we came and would definately love the come again. Thankyou Melanie & Mike x

Family friendly farm holiday
We stayed for a week in Serendipity over Easter. The accommodation was fantastic. Very clean, all equipment required and more, and surprised how good the Wi-Fi was being so rural. Hosts were very friendly and provided everything we needed and have a passion for what they do. Animal feeds and petting was a highlight, as was the private swimming pool although very cold getting out after a swim without changing facilities. Great location for exploring the towns and beaches we had a wonderful week.

Wonderful family holiday!
We had a really lovely holiday with our 4 year old twins in Trevorrick this August. I cannot thank Melanie enough. She was an exceptional host and works incredibly hard to ensure her guests have everything they need while also taking care of her farm with husband Mike. We stayed in Curlew Cottage which was very clean and comfortable and had so many little touches we loved. From the pretty pictures on the walls to the children's place mats and cutlery you have everything you need for a family stay. The children loved their room which had tractor bedding and the spacious lounge to play in. Melanie even provided some extra toys for them to use which they really enjoyed. The farm itself has two outdoor play areas with lots of toys which the boys found lots of fun - complete with mini farm shop and ride ons. A particular highlight was the daily animal feeding and Guinea pig cuddles. There is also a lovely big indoor swimming pool which was very handy especially on rainy days. The farm is situated a short drive from Padstow which was lovely for wandering by the harbour and enjoying fish and chips and ice creams (the Lobster pot is best ice cream). There is also lots of other places in easy driving distance for families such as Lappa Valley and Screech Animal Sanctuary both of which we all enjoyed. All in all a very special 2 weeks - I'm sure we will return in the future.

Lovely stay for families!
We had a lovely stay at Trevorrick with our 4 year old son. Melanie made us feel very welcome and the daily animal feeding was a highlight! The farm was full of toys and the pool was wonderful. The farm is located very close to Padstow and a lot of beaches. It’s also near locations such as Lappa Valley and Eden. The Owl’s Roost cottage where we stayed was very comfortable and had all we needed - including fresh eggs! Would strongly recommend to families!

The perfect holiday let for us! With Hot Tub! What more can you ask?
Tucked away at the very end of the lane and away from traffic, you couldn't ask for a more peaceful setting even with the farm animals, Mel was very helpful, handy and informative. We know the area already so had no trouble finding new routes into Padstow. The hot tub was a hit and we used it more that we'd thought. Deathly quiet at night and cottage is perfect with everything you could need. Would definitely book again. St Issey and local hamlets are a great location to explore Cornwall. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay
We spent 5 nights here with our almost 3 year old daughter. It was such a lovely holiday, there was so much to keep our daughter entertained with the animals that Melanie can arrange for you to feed, to the play areas and swimming pool. The cottage was clean and cosy, and the farm itself is in a lovely area for walking, quick drive to padstow and there was a couple lovely restaurants/pubs nearby which you could walk to very easily. Melanie was a lovely host and made us feel at home. We had such a wonderful stay and hope to return again.

A rural idyll (with animal chatter!)
We stayed here to help celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and found this a fabulous place to stay. We stayed in the Lily Pad cottage which has just the right amount of room and amenities, plus the added bonus of a private hot tub in its own area with countryside views. It is a magical rural setting with the 2.5 mile walk to Padstow, across the fields and the Camel bridge, being a highlight, offering some stunning views - especially in high tide. You really feel relaxed and away from everything here and yet we also enjoyed the sporadic chatter of the ducks, chickens, pigs, sheep, geese, cows and solitary goat to punctuate the silence. We heard (but didn't see) the resident owls, but did glimpse a buzzard swooping into the field next to our hot tub to grab an unsuspecting field mouse (or similar). The owners Mel and Mike are an inspiring couple also, having fled the urban life of Reading, to literally escape to the country. They are also very helpful and friendly. My only quibble would be that suffering from the occasional bad back (like many!), I would have preferred a harder mattress in the room, but hey - this is a fantastic location, excellent accommodation and is in striking distance of many places to visit including Padstow, Port Isaac, Fowey and Tintagel to name just a few. Highly recommended.

Beautiful rural getaway
We returned to Melanie’s farm 3 years on from our first stay. It was even better than I remembered. Our children loved feeding the animals and walking the sheep down the lane. The farm is so quiet and cut off from any noise, I felt completely relaxed. Our hot tub provided a bit of luxury and with Padstow 10 minutes down the road there was plenty of entertainment. Lovely pool that you can book and two big play areas for children.
All in all, we loved it!
