Overview
Wadebridge, Cornwall, England
A mile from Wadebridge, along a hedgerow lane leading to the downs, a charming cottage lovingly converted by the friendly owners from a barn attached to their 18th cent. cottage, originally a hostelry for travellers on the Saints’ Way (from Padstow to Spain). A footpath (1¼ miles) alongside the cottage takes you straight to the Camel Trail (walking/cycling). To the front, a neat and tidy, enclosed garden (table/chairs, barbecue) and, beyond, good-sized grassy space for ball games, all surrounded by meadows.
Inside, light, airy and comfortable. Glazed door into open-plan living/dining/kitchen (washing machine, microwave, fridge, electric cooker) with oak worktops and floor, leather sofas and TV/DVD/video. Smart ground-floor bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Stairs (stairgate) from living area up to two bedrooms - a double (5’ bed) with d...

Well equipped cottage clean and tidy. Plenty of room in the bedrooms with ample hanging space and cupboards. Nice touch with fresh baked scones, jam, cream and bottle of wine awaiting your arrival. Nice base for visiting the surf beaches along the Atlantic coast all nearby. Plenty of shops in Wadebridge a short drive away. Nice enclosed garden. Would definitely consider a return visit.

This is a nice quiet secluded place so if it's peace and quiet you are after, this is the one for you. The cottage is well equipped and has most of the things you might need on your stay in Cornwall including the use of windbreaks which you may well need being on the North Cornish Coast. The place was clean, tidy and functional, I suppose if I was being really picky, the windows could have done with a good clean but that was the only negative as far as the cottage was concerned. A few points as regards location, it is about a mile and a half from Wadebridge town which is a fairly steep downward hill from the property with no footpaths or street lighting so not ideal for walking especially in the evening. Wadebridge is the nearest place for shops, pubs and restaurants so a car is essential.

Thank you very much for your feedback. It sounds as though you really enjoyed your stay. Thank you very much for letting us know about the windows, we will let the owner know and I'm certain they will ensure they're given a really good clean. I'm glad to hear that you had a great time and enjoyed the cottage.
