Beautiful and quiet country house few minutes away from Amarante, minutes to Douro river and Unesco valley and easy acess to Porto city cente.This mountain house is located inside serra , Amarante is a lovely village of great natural beauty famous for its food, wine, cultural heritage and sights. It is home of a Michelin star restaurant, Casa da Calçada. Wine zone region of Douro (Régua) and Vinho verde. The house is integrated in nature with a breathtak view to the mountains.

Nice house with a fabulous view
We enjoyed our stay here very much. We didn't meet Marcelo so Maria met us with the key and was helpful and friendly. The house is comfortable and has a huge shaded outdoor kitchen/terrace - great in the heat. Could do with some more outdoor loungers, but that's easily fixed. There is also a roof terrace which we didn't use because no shade and I think we would have fried! There is a good restaurant about 5 minutes away, and lots more choice in Amarante which is about half an hours drive along a quiet country road. There are small stores in the local villages and a big supermarket in Marco. I would recommend this rental.
