Perfect location with a good view of the sea and the sunset. Jewel of the South.
We had a fantastic family holiday. The owners Mary/Kieran personally greeted us on arrival and they even gave us some welcome food pack and bouquet of flowers. It was a very warm welcome. The house is well equipped...enough cutleries, plates, bowls and cooking pans for a big family. Perfect location to relax watching the world go by. The three sitting areas of the house and the master's bedroom has awesome view of the water and the sunset. The house is very close to town, shops (Lidl & Aldi is only 5mins drive) and restaurants (McCafferty's is highly recommended for local food and Irish live music). This place is highly recommended.

Fantastic Views
Lovely holiday home with fantastic views. There was plenty of space for a family of six adults. We were made to feel very welcome by Mary and Kieren on our arrival. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Good base for exploring local beaches and walks. Thank you.

Lovely home, perfect location
This home is roomy, comfortable and well equipped. Kiernan and Mary were kind and helpful. They thought of everything! Appreciated the supplies they provided on arrival. As a long time recycler, I especially appreciated recycling bins, and even a container for compostable things (we cooked every night but one). Dungloe is a great location to explore County Donegal. The view was amazing. And the proximity to the airport is so convenient. We enjoyed our stay so much, thank you, Kiernan and Mary!

Fantastic house, beautiful view.
This is a fantastic house. The first thing you notice is the magnificent view, it is absolutely stunning. The house itself is very spacious and well equipped. All four bedrooms are large and comfortable, and one has a generous en-suite. There is a kitchen/diner, a large sitting room and also a conservatory all enjoying the spectacular views. Our hosts Mary and Kieran greeted us on arrival and gave us some very useful local information. They also left us a "welcome pack" of fresh scones, fresh fruit and even a nice bunch of flowers. A couple of nice touches included pretty good wifi (much better than expected considering the rural, coastal location) and access to Netflix for those times when you need a rest from touring. Dungloe itself is within easy reach and is a nice town with some nice places to eat and drink. It is also a good location to use as a base when exploring Donegal. I think we covered nearly the entire county in the two weeks we were there. I would not hesitate in recommending this house to anyone interested in visiting Donegal.

Beyond amazing
Wow what an amazing house, so spacious and picturesque views from almost every side of the house. The owners, Kieran and Mary, were so pleasant to deal with and so very helpful with information on the area and places to visit with kids. I can’t recommend this house enough and no amount of photos could do it justice!!! This is definitely somewhere I will be returning to. A little piece of heaven.

Amazing property
What a find! I’ve stayed in many holiday lets in Ireland but this is by far my favourite. We’ve had a lovely Christmas staying in this fabulous house and there’s been many things that have made it special. The house is excellent. Not only is it spacious, with fantastic sea views from most of the windows. It is also clean, warm and cosy as well. The layout of the house worked so well for us, myself and my husband stayed here with our 3 kids but we also had visiting family stay as well. Plenty of room for everyone, it’s so nice to have a big open plan kitchen that’s big enough to sit in, but to also have a separate cosy sitting room with a fire, and also a separate conservatory room, which we turned into a play room for the kids. The thing I liked most about this house was the small touches, the blankets and cushions everywhere just made it so homely. (All of which were clean) There is a lovely big bath in the main bathroom and a big walk in shower in the en-suite bathroom, two big bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. It doesn’t feel cramped or small, it’s a big house. It has the exact right balance of having everything you need with out it being too personal. The owners have left books and DVDs and some toys etc but it’s out of the way and you still feel like it’s your own while you stay here. It’s like the owners have thought of everything to make your stay a good one. We also liked Dungloe, it’s a nice small town but has plenty of shops. We ate out in a couple of places in town. There are plenty of nice beaches and walks within a short drive, it’s a beautiful part of the world. The best part about our stay was that the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating, Mary gave me lots of communication before I arrived, with recommendations of places to eat, Kieran met me at the house and was so thorough showing us around. They put up a Christmas tree for us and decorated the house with lovely Christmas things, they even bought small gifts for our kids, it really made our Christmas. They left us a lovely welcome pack on arrival, it was such a lovely touch. The kitchen was better equipped than my own to cook Christmas dinner, it had plenty of saucepans, crockery everything we needed. I’d say the kitchen is thoughtfully equipped, there wasn’t anything lacking. I found it really hard to find fault with this house. I had to give it 5 stars as the house itself is excellent, but the owners are hard to beat as well. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Mary and Kieran, we will definitely be back to stay again.

Also rundum eine wunderschöne Woche dort. Preis- Leistung passt auf jeden Fall. Vielen Dank

Wow
Myself and my family take a week away every year in Donegal and this year we decided to stay in Dungloe and booked the Sea View and we were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted by Mary and made feel very welcome. The house is so spacious and has everything you needed from kitchen utensils, to extra bed linen , even beach gear and body boards. The views are amazing and you are just beside Dungloe and only a short drive from amazing beaches. We loved it so much we have booked to stay again next year.

About the neighborhood
Dungloe is known locally as the Capital of the Rosses, its Irish name 'An Clochán Liath' (Grey Stone), has its origins in the period before the construction of the Dungloe Bridge in 1762. Prior to this date, entry to the town was by means of stepping-stone across the river. Dungloe is an ideal touring base from which to explore the west coast of Donegal. One of the main reasons why people come to this area is its fame as a great place for fishing due in no small measure to the work of the Rosses Angling Association. With 130 lakes, the visiting angler can enjoy the superb fishing for salmon, trout and sea trout. The wild bog and reed beds area haven for wildlife and the views of the bay, particularly the cliff views from the Cruit Island Golf Club south to Arranmore, are memorable. Nearby golf courses include the very scenic Cruit Island, Portnoo and Gweedore with many beautiful beaches some of which are Blue Flag. Glenveigh National Park is approx 40 minutes away and is well worth a visit covering 16,000 hectares and includes Glenveigh Estate, Derryveagh Mountains and Lough Veagh. It is home to Ireland's largest herd of red deer and some roam the hill behind this cottage. Dunlewey Visitor Centre and Mount Errigal are just a few of the many other local major attractions within easy reach. Also the home of the Mary From Dungloe Festival, which takes place each summer attracting people from all over Ireland and indeed from all over the world. Now also the home of the Daniel O'Donnell Visitor Centre (www.danielodonnellvisitorcentre.com) ,there are too many attractions to mention individually within a 25km radius of Dungloe - see www.DiscoverIreland.ie (select Donegal then Dungloe and local attractions), www.donegalcounty.com and www.irelandnorthwest.ie. These websites will link you to the many and very varied attractions in the area.
