This is the perfect rental house if you want a comfortable, spacious and luxury rental house with amazing views in the rural countryside. It is a very stylish home and the owner was very welcoming and made all the arrangements for the stay very easy.
It is on the way to the Golden Circle tourist route and only around 15 mins from the nearest town.
The house was really well equipped for a group or family holiday; white fluffy towels, toiletries and bathrobes are provided, the kitchen has all you need and the bathrooms and bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable.
Our teenagers loved the Sonos sound system and Netfix on the TV in the main room and the pool table and "chill out space" on the lower ground floor.
We all loved the underfloor heating which meant the house was very warm and cosy even on the coldest days when we returned after a long trip sightseeing.
We would return if we ever visit Iceland again and really can't recommend the property enough.

Top Haus in guter südwestlicher Lage Islands
Sehr ruhig gelegen, Supermarkt nur 10 min mit dem Auto entfernt. Golden Circle super zu fahren von hier aus. Optimal ausgestattet was Küchenutensilien anbelangt. Toll dekoriertes Haus mit Stil. Alles funktionistüchtig. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberschaft. Alles super 👍🏼

Perfect place, great host
We spent a long weekend in Iceland and this villa was perfect for our purposes. It is in a great location, with a beautiful view of a lake and well suited for excursions in the "Golden Circle"-area or on the South Coat. The house is very well equiped and great care was obviously taken when designing the interior. The owner (Sigyn) was very helpful and provided us with many practical tips for our stay. We hope to come back!

Spectacular house
I came here with my boyfriend and family for my 30th birthday and it's the nicest accommodation I've ever stayed in. 😃 The house is 5 star, the scenery is jaw dropping, the facilities in the house are amazing. We made the most of the hot tub, kayak, pool table and table tennis. I will never forget my stay here, made extra special by being proposed to in front of the lake ❤️ Very kind and efficient host 👍 Didn't get to see the norther lights but didn't take from our fantastic holiday. 😃

A fabulous place to stay
We stayed in March as a party of 9. Sigyn made the whole process so easy and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The house itself is amazing. Everything you need is there and more, lots of little extras that we weren't expecting, slippers, bath robes, shampoo, the photos just don't do it justice, very warm and comfortable, luxury is correct. The setting was stunning and we managed to see the Northern Lights two nights out of the three we were there from the porch, amazing. The house is in the perfect location to explore most things, Golden Circle, South Coast and Reykjavik. You will not be disappointed if you stay here

Spectacular
We booked the lakehouse as three couples - my husband and I have visited Iceland before but it was first visit for our friends. After booking, arrangements for arrival were made and Sigyn, the host, was very helpful. For a quite remote location our arrival was very straightforward thanks to such great directions.
The lakehouse itself is absolutely beautiful, the photos cannot do it justice. It is furnished to a very high standard and has all amenities that you could hope for. The view out over the lake is breathtaking and we spent some wonderful evenings in the hot tub - the nearest town for groceries etc is approx 10 mins drive and fine for all your day to day needs.
I would return in a heartbeat and happily recommend.
