We would like to point out that most of the people in this project are in they're 20's and 30's and it does have a young peoples vibe. It sometimes is more like a hostel than a B&B. We are looking forward to meeting you and sharing our slice of heaven. Every common area is free to be used, not private rooms of the people who live at the farm or other guests. We are 3 Icelandic people living here on the farm along with short term helpers from around the world helping us on our project. We have weekly house dinners as well as other community building activities we invite you to join in on if you're interested. We have a large living and dining room where we relax and socialise. That being said your time here can be as private or social as you wish. The private room is located downstairs with the only kitchen on the main floor. We will love to try and help you with anything you may need whether it be recommendations or even help with your Icelandic. There are two bathrooms, one in the basement and the other on the main floor, the rooms are on the first floor. There is a great view from our place into a valley overlooking a river with big mountains in the background. The farm is next to its very own mountain, Ingólfsfjall, named after the viking that discovered Iceland. There are lots of good hiking paths and walks to take, every season here has its charm. In the winter we see the northern lights and the beautiful snow covered landscape, the fall with all the blueberry's and colorful trees and nature. Spring we get lots of birds and swans and in the summer its just amazing with sunlight stretching deep into the night. We are in the golden circle area and close to a lot of icelands main natural wonders and beauty. We are more than willing to help you find the right places to go and give you some local tips and travel tricks. Looking forward to hosting you. The Spirit Farm Family Hitch hiking and Bus. We can pick up people in Selfoss if needed but we do recommend renting your own car while in Iceland. We have a Native American style sweat lodge almost every week, at that time we have a lot of guests at the house and it can get very hectic, but the rooms are very private and guests can participate if they would like and are at the right time.
