House Rental
This is a brand new elegant vacation home (finished building in July 2018). The home is situated on 6 acres in a gated community in the hills above Portalon (halfway between Dominical and Quepos/Manual Antonio). It overlooks the Pacific ocean (beaches are only a 10 minute drive away) with a spectacular view of Manual Antonio.
The home has two bedrooms with King beds and armories, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, breakfast bar, living room with flat screen TV and laundry room. Outdoor seating and dining area with a built in bar, BBQ, wine refrigerator, fireplace, flat screen TV and a fabulous infinity pool.
The home is gated, has security cameras and a guest safe. The property managers are available at all times and live nearby.

This place is amazing!
Very nice house with amazing views. The pool was wonderful. Outdoor cooking area with wine fridge and a great grill. Sunsets over Manuel Antonio. Great location close to beach (10 minutes) and many other attractions but secluded enough.

WOW!
My husband and I were one of the lucky first guests to stay in this brand new vacation home. We had everything we could possible need. Seclusion, comfort, convenience, the homeowners anticipated our every need. The pool and patio areas are wonderful and just steps away from the bedrooms. From or near the home we saw Toucans, Parrots, Morpho butterflies, Coati Mundi, and even a sloth! And Casa de Marafiki has the most amazing ocean view. We had to force ourselves to leave the home to explore the nearby beaches, waterfalls, Manual Antonio National Park, and restaurants. Next time we stay we plan to go horseback riding on the beach and head to the marina for a snorkeling ocean tour. We'll be back!

Anniversary Trip
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by staying here for a week in august. Truly, the only hard decision was whether to enjoy the residential grounds or travel to spots of interest in Costa Rica. The home itself is amazing with a eternity pool, outside lounge and kitchen area with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. The property managers were fantastic at maintenance as well as suggestions for local places of interest and night-life activities. Activities close by include zip lining, beautiful waterfalls and exceptionally friendly people. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Wow View...
That’s what I said every morning when I woke up, and you’ll say the same as sunset and when you’re stargazing. Super close to the beach and restaurants. Safe, private and fully equipped with all the bells n whistles.

Excellent accommodations & beautiful view
My Costa Rica trip to Casa de Marafiki was more than I hoped for - The drive from San Jose was beautiful seeing all the foliage and the Costarican towns. Getting up the mountain to the house was scenic with a glimpse of the school children and a small church. Needless to say the house was more than I expected, just beautiful with the infinity pool, outside decks and the amazing view of the ocean and mountains. I liked that I could get to the beach in 5 minutes and a beautiful upscale Marina with shops and restaurants in 15 minutes. I highly recommend this house for your next vacation.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, PEACEFUL, and ABSOLUTELY the GETAWAY that I NEEDED.
Nestled up on the mountain with an amazing view. I would come back in a heart beat as I was envisioning myself having my own casa in Costa Rica. Manuel Antonio National Park was my favorite day away from my Costa Rica Home Sweet Home for the week. The local restaurants did not disappoint. We stopped at Vista Hermosa on our way to Casa de Marafiki and enjoyed dinner not once but twice at La Langosta Feliz. Oh and did I mention that I planned this vacation in a week!! Pura Vida Costa Rica!!

Spectacular!
We spent 7 nights at this home and the house and location gave us everything we were looking for in a vacation and MORE! The home in itself is incredible with simply spectacular views, comfortable beds, cozy yet functional layout, terrific shower and great amenities. It is private and secluded yet close to town. We spent nearly every afternoon at the pool before heading to nearby Quepos or Domincal for dinner. We enjoyed coffee on the patio overlooking the Pacific ocean. We bought shrimp at the fish market in Dominical and and fresh local vegetables and cooked in the outdoor kitchen one evening. The pool is sparking clean and so refreshing in the hot afternoons. The sunsets were to die for!
We booked through Airbnb and the host provided us with great information about the surrounding area, recommended excursions, favorite dining spots and local hot spots. The hosts were very responsive through the process and so friendly and pleasant!
We visited during the rainy season but were lucky to only have a couple of short rainshowers on two evenings and a thunderstorm one night. I have to tell you, it's even amazing watching the storms roll in as the house sets so high on the mountain you're practically in the clouds!
The drive up the mountain to the home was incredible. It is surrounded by rainforest and quite steep, but stable easy to navigate. I can't even describe the beauty of this area!
I've spent two vacations in this area of Costa Rica and am absolutely in love with the area, the people and the culture. Nearby Quepos and Domincal have many great restaurant options. We also love La Langosta Felize at the base of the mountain. It's very close and the food is phenomenal. The nearby beaches are not crowded and simply beautiful. There are so many excursions to choose from but you could literally spend your entire week without leaving the house and have the time of your life!
There was a king toad who came to the patio by the pool EVERY NIGHT! He would chill nearby and eat bugs. He didn't seem to be bothered one bit by us. I named him Pedro (I have no idea if it's a boy or girl) and came to anticipate his arrival haha! I hope everyone gets to meet the little dude!
This place is a must see!!

Portalon is half way between the popular towns of Manual Antonio/Quepos and Dominical. We are located approximately 2 1/2 hours south of San Jose, Costa Rica on the Pacific Ocean.
Getting around
