Wunderschönes Haus, in einer Traumhaften Umgebung
Wir waren im November 2021 in dieser Traumhaften Villa, mit einem grandiosen Ausblick. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet, wir haben uns den ganzen Aufenthalt über sehr sehr wohlgefühlt, und konnten dank der tollen Lage etliche Ausflüge machen, wie etwa zum Kap der Guten Hoffnungen, Tafelberg oder an zahlreiche Weingüter besuchen. Die Betreuung vor Ort war bestens. Alle Fragen konnten umgehend und unkompliziert beantwortet. Jeder Zeit wieder!

Lovely villa but with far from luxury kitchen
High up villa with fantastic far reaching views (hence v. steep drive), lovely bedrooms, and nice lounge. Tastefully and thoughtfully furnished. Nice pool, good gardens, lots of birdlife.
However: the kitchen is a big let down, even though it looks ok in photos. The cream concrete worksurfaces all appear badly grubby and have been incorrectly varnished sealing grub in. The whole sink area was in a worse state with delapidated white mastic all around it and along tiles behind it, with daylight showing through all round under the window cill above, plus a broken and dirty in-cupboard bin underneath. The kitchen tap was worn out. The whole area was singularly unpleasant to be in and out of step with rest of the house. Needs proper refurb. When we arrived, the kitchen smelt very stale/of drains. The second bathroom upstairs also smelled badly, so much so we went straight out and bought caustic soda/other cleaning materials and set to.
Didn't really expect to have to do this on holiday! Suspect either the house was unused in previous week and/or not ventilated properly, and because of water issues (requests to use as little water as possible everywhere), the drains are not properly flushed.
Antje the host was wonderful and did everything she could to solve any issues for us and was a great source of help and advice, even getting people in to remastic the kitchen sink area during our stay, but frankly it was no better. Needs some proper professional work. ok, so the house moves, but I think a kitchen rented in this state in a 'luxury' villa is unacceptable. It is down to the owners to put it right. Quite understandably hosts can be reluctant to pass such negative feedback to owners, even though we asked in this case.
It is a very windy spot especially at night and the smaller front bedroom gets a lot of moaning wind noise from both the lantern light over the landing and from somewhere outside its window - beware if you're a light sleeper. The heavyweight front door entrance remained locked, so entrance was through the rather unlovely garage. Although there were DSTV instructions and a corresponding remote control (access to CNN, Sky News, BBC World), there was no DSTV (apparently a payment issue). The other remote control required you to view content via your own smartphone casting it onto the tv. Unlike the house we stayed in on the same trip in Constantia, when there's a power cut at this villa (lots in SA currently) the electric drive gate still works but not the heavy garage door (ie no battery back-up) which you have to open manually - tricky with a car in situ.

Tolles Haus zum Wohlfühlen in wundeschöner Umgebung
Die Chapman´s View Villa liegt traumhaft am Ende des Chapman´s Peak Drive mit tollem Blick auf Long Beach, einen kilometerlangen Sandstrand. Von dort aus kann man wunderschöne Ausflüge zum Kap der guten Hoffnung oder nach Kapstadt unternehmen. Die Fahrt nach Kapstadt über den Chapman´s Peak Drive und dann immer entlang der Küste ist traumhaft. In unmittelbarer Nähe Hauses finden sich viele Naturschönheiten und Sehenswürdigkeiten der Kapregion. So befinden sich hier die bekannten Weingüter, Nationalparks zum Wandern und der Longbeach ist vom Haus aus einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen. Antje und Thomas stehen vor Ort gerne für Tipps zur Verfügung und im Haus befindet sich auch eine Mappe mit vielen Tourenvorschlägen.
In Noordhoek und dem Haus haben wir uns unheimlich wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist modern und sehr geschmackvoll mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Den traumhaften Blick vom Balkon auf den Strand und Leuchtturm haben wir gerne beim Sonnenuntergang bei einem Glas Chardonnay genossen. Danach haben wir es uns am Feuer des Kamins gemütlich gemacht. Wenn wir dann morgens aufgewacht sind, konnten wir von unseren Betten aus(!!) genau diesen Strandblick wieder genießen. Sagenhaft! Selbst beim Duschen hatten wir Strandblick!
Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Grill, Backofen, Spülmaschine, Gasherd,... . Man findet sogar verschiedene Kaffeemaschinen (Nespresso, italienische Espressomaschine,...) und einen Milchschäumer. So begann unser Tag regelmäßig mit einem tollen Frühstück mit selbstgemachten Cappuccino (mit Bohnen der nahegelegenen Kaffeerösterei) und tollen Brötchen auf der Terrasse am Pool, mit Blick auf die Berge- besser kann ein Tag nicht beginnen.
Wir haben auch das Ambiente Nordhoeks sehr genossen. Hier kann man den südafrikanischen Lebensstil täglich wieder neu erleben. Man hat das Gefühl jeder kennt jeden und nach der zweiten Runde morgendlichen Joggens am Strand wurde ich schon von den Noordhoekern begrüßt und fühlte mich heimisch. Im Farmhouse Village, das gerade einmal 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt ist, gibt es neben der Kaffeerösterei eine tolle Bäckerei und sowohl gehobene Küche als auch Burger, Tappas und Pizza für unsere Teenager. Der Foodmarket am Mittwoch im Village hat uns besonders gut gefallen und bot für jeden etwas- im Farm Village kann man übrigens auch sehr gut frühstücken gehen.
Wir haben hier einen wunderschönen Urlaub mit unseren Kindern verbracht und die sechs Tage waren viel zu kurz , so dass wir auf alle Fälle wieder kommen werden.

Urlaub im Paradies
Eine Super Adresse um einen gepflegten Urlaub zu machen. Sehr stilvoll und Liebevoll eingerichtete Villa in 1a Lage. Der ideale Ort für tolle Ausflüge oder zum Gemütlichen Zusammensein. Der Ausblick auf der Terrasse mit einem Sundowner ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Es wird nicht das letzte Mal hier gewesen sein.
Gewöhnungsbedürftig war einzig der Umgang mit der Alarmanlage ;-))

Fabulous stay at Chapman's View Villa
Chapman's View Villa is a great place to stay and explore the Cape province. The villa itself is beyond expectations! It's spacious, has great views and is perfectly located. On top of all this there is a warm welcome and you will get all the help you need to find your way around and to deal with any issue you may face. Chapman's View Villa is certainly a place we will return to.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt über Sylvester
Wir hatten 7 Übernachtungen in einem wunderschönen modern und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Haus. Afrikanische Bilder, Vasen und Elefanten Ton auf Ton aufeinander abgestimmt, erzeugten eine stimmige Harmonie. Unsere große Familie, Oma und Opa und weitere 4 Erwachsene sowie 3 Enkelkinder, haben sich sofort wohlgefühlt. Der Swimmingpool wurde von den Kindern jeden Tag genutzt. Sie sind 6, 9 und 11 Jahre und hatten ihren Spaß, wenn wir von unseren vielen Ausflügen zurückkamen. Die Umgebung ist herrlich, Cape Town nur 35 Minuten entfernt, wenn wir nicht über den Chapman's Peak Drive fuhren, der ein absolutes "Muss" ist und fast vor der Haustür liegt. Von der tollen Terrasse im oberen Stock haben wir fast jeden Abend einen Sonnenuntergang mit Sundowner genossen. Der Ausblick auf den riesigen Strand schon am Morgen tat unserer Seele gut - die Weite ist fantastisch. Platz hatten wir alle genügend. Das Wohnzimmer mit den vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten wurde mehr von den Kids in Beschlag belegt, die Erwachsenen saßen gern an dem schönen Esstisch aus Holz mit Blick in die schicke Küche oder den Garten. Alles ist vorhanden (Kaffee-, Spül- und Waschmaschine, Föhn, Bügeleisen, Tresor, Staubsauger, 2 Garagen, Wäschespinne etc.). Die Vermietung vor Ort durch Antje war ohne Probleme. Hier möchten wir noch einmal Antje unseren herzlichen Dank sagen. Wenn es möglich ist, kommen wir gern alle wieder. Unserer Familie, die über Deutschland verstreut wohnt, tat es sehr gut, in dieser wirklich schönen Atmosphäre ein paar Tage zu verbringen und so unkompliziert zusammen zu sein. Einfach super!!!!!!!!

Traumhafte Villa
Mitte November waren meine Freundin und ich über 12 Tage in dieser wahnsinnig schönen Villa untergebracht.
Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und es fehlt einem an nichts.
Ein sehr schöner, gepflegter Pool in einem tollen Garten.
Vor allem Abends, zum Sonnenuntergang bietet es sich an die super Aussicht zu genießen. Dies ist insbesondere vom großen Balkon des Hauptschlafzimmers ein wahres Erlebnis.
Alles in allem hat vor allem diese tolle Villa unseren Urlaub zu etwas ganz besonderem gemacht.

Perfect place to explore the Cape
Chapman's View Villa crowns a lovely hill in Nordhoek. Views are sublime and the house is truly a home. The living room sports a marvelous fireplace and heated floors that keep the place warm and cozy in mid-winter. The bedrooms provide ample space and many have their own balconies and views of Nordhoek's spectacular beach or Chapman's Peak. The kitchen is well-stocked and intuitive. That is, you can feel right at home in the space of a few hours because you can find the utensils and mixing bowls or make yourself a cup of coffee without having to look in every nook and cranny.
If you do have questions about the house or your surroundings, Thomas and Antje, the lovely couple who manage the villa are only a phone call or text message away. They welcomed us warmly into this lovely home and gave us recommendations from restaurants to day trips to wineries. They know Nordhoek and the Cape like no one else and will have great tips for any visitors at any time you may visit.
Chapman's View Villa is the perfect place from which to explore the treasures of the Cape Peninsula. Simon's Town's penguins are only 30 minutes away and the superb vistas along Chapman's Peak drive begin just a stone's throw from the house. We enjoyed the drive on this spectacular road so much we headed to Cape Town and back multiple times during our stay. Of course, you can always walk to the beach or just down the road the opposite direction to Nordhoek Farm Village for a coffee, a drink, some gourmet groceries or some fine dining.
We fully plan to return to Chapman's View Villa in the near future. The warmth of the home, the beauty of the surroundings and the welcoming hosts make for a picture-perfect vacation.

Unforgettable experience
From the amazing views (day and night), neighborhood setting, beautiful landscaping, well-stocked kitchen, to the comfortable beds we could not have asked for a better home to base our stay in Cape Town. We found the house to be well maintained, clean and well supplied for guest needs. A booklet of information regarding the house and Cape Town was provided by the property manager, Antje, that was very helpful. We took Antje's advice and ate tapas at the Food Barn and also visited the Cape Point Winery for their Thursday evening community event. Both were just around the corner from the home and were among the highlights of our trip. We will look back on our time in Cape Town with fond memories.

Located in the heart of the Cape Peninsula and just 25 minutes from Cape Town city centre, Chapman;s View Villa offers a perfect combination of easy access to all the Western Cape attractions, with a tranquil rural atmosphere. Noordhoek attracts especially those in touch with nature. Noordhoeks 8 km beach is the longest stretch of pure white sand in the whole peninsula. Indigenous Cape Fynbos cover the slopes of surrounding mountains and stretch down to the coastal plain, the wetlands area and the garden.Noordhoek offers plenty of wide open spaces, wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Despite its country atmosphere, Noordhoek has a lot to offer, including restaurants, a vineyard, a large shopping mall, horse-riding, whale watching, hiking trails, surfing, kiting, bird-watching, plus nearby four golf courses, camel rides and a penguin colony. The main attractions of the Cape like the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, Constantia Winelands are all within a few minutes drive.
