Excellent welcome! Personal and warm: homemade delicious cake, fresh flowers and gorgeous bottle of wine from the neighbouring vineyard! Cannot think of a better start to our visit to Cape Town. Dennis, his wife and the staff did everything possible to make our stay fantastic! Dennis personally gave us a tour of the fine, extensive lodgings, explaining all that need explaining and was available 24/7 (via telephone and through communication with the wonderful staff) to answer any questions and provide assistance. Included, was a tour of the Groot Constantia Winery and a wine tasting. Very memorable indeed. The location is perfect! Close to shops and fine restaurants, the open top bus route is just up the road, the highways are a couple of minutes away as well for a quick commute anywhere. I am incredibly fussy when it comes to cleanliness and could not find fault! The kitchen is amply equipped to prepare and cook meals for a large number of people. My family range from old to young and it fitted everyone just fine! Thank you Dennis, Liz, Vanessa and Blessings! We had a truly wonderful time an will be back next year!

Perfect, relaxing holiday
Our family of 8 people ranging between the ages of 9 and 76 stayed at Groot Constantia Villa for 2 weeks in December 2016. On our arrival, we were greeted by Dennis who gave us a tour of the house and provided us with all the information we needed to ensure we had a safe and comfortable stay.
The house itself is amazing, and we didn’t want for anything. We spent most of our time at the house around the pool and in the entertainment area. The kitchen is very well equipped, although most of our cooking was done outside in the braai area. The beds are all very comfortable and the bed linen was changed regularly by the hardworking and attentive staff.
We visited the Groot Constantia Vineyard several times and also enjoyed taking walks to the bars and restaurants a short walk away. The Constantia Village is nearby with a Woolworths Food, Pick n Pay, Clicks, etc. Constantia itself is very central and within easy access to the amazing attractions Cape Town has to offer.
I would like to give a special mention to Magdalena, our lovely housekeeper. She worked very hard making sure the house was kept clean, bed linen changed and she always had a smile on her face. She is so warm and friendly and I really enjoyed our chats in the kitchen. She always made me laugh and I grew very fond of her.
It was very hard to leave the beautiful villa on our return to the UK and I miss Cape Town terribly. We are already planning our next trip and will certainly try to stay at the Groot Constantia Villa again in the future.

An amazing property!
I'd been corresponding with Dennis, the owner of the property, for about 9 months and found him extremely helpful and quick with his replies. That's always a great start.
When we arrived we were all bowled over by the attention to detail of Dennis and his wonderful staff who run the house. They couldn't do enough to help us with anything we needed but also leaving us to enjoy the house in peace.
What can I say about the house ... it's stunning and is, in my opinion, in the best location possible. Where else are you given a key to let yourself into the vineyards of the oldest wine estate in the country? Here you can walk through the vines for wine tasting and wonderful restaurants.
The pool, the garden, the braai area where all fantastic and the interior of the house was very spacious, light and bright.
The security was first class and we all felt completely safe and secure there.
Dennis and Elizabeth, thanks you so much for making such a wonderful base for us while on our Cape Town adventure! If you can book this house, don't hesitate. We will be back :-)

Stunning pool, beautiful bedrooms, friendly efficient staff - PERFECT!
From friendly and informative greeting on arrival by Denis and his wife to departure, Groot Constantia Villa was a perfect place to stay for our family. There was ample room for everyone to have their own "place" in peace. The pool area was stunning and had everything for a wonderful family BBQ. We hit an unusually hot few days and it was a relief to have use of the beautifully clean swimming pool. The whole house is decorated tastefully and the kitchen completely set up for all your needs. Close to good shopping areas, great wineries and stunning scenery. The staff that helped around the house were fantastic. Friendly and more than willing to help with everything from washing to cleaning up the BBQ area for the next night. I would highly recommend the home as a great place to stay.

Perfect stay in wonderful villa
We stayed in the Groot Constantia Villa for a week with 8 adults and one toddler. The villa was perfect for us: it had everything we could wish with excellent facilities (including a private pool, sunbeds, bbq, wifi) and is situated in a beautiful area right next to the Great Constantia wineries. The house is very large and luxurious (easily sleeps 10 adults), and cleaned daily by the friendly staff. Dennis (the owner) gave us a lot of tips and was very helpful. When we said we were bringing a 1 year old he bought a cot and toddler dining chair.
We highly recommend this villa!

Fantastic!
we had a fantastic time! the location is very convenient for Constantia Village, and right next to Groot Constantia - a nice walk to the wine tasting!
Dennis and Elizabeth couldn't have been nicer and made us feel very welcome.
The house is very secure even staying by myself with the kids after my husband went home.
The housekeepers were very pleasant and everything was spotless.
We definitely want to visit again!

Lovely Constantia Villa
An excellent, comfortable villa in a wonderful setting. Well equipped, with plenty of space, inside and out, this is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy Cape Town. The facilities are excellent and there are good shops nearby if needed, but also with easy access to see all the sights. The house was perfect for a range of age groups, with enough space and activites for everyone(pool, sunbeds, large garden, pizza oven, pool table, music system etc). Well serviced by lovely staff who were polite, helpful and eager to please. Highly recommended – wish we could comeback every year!

Location, Location, Location.
Our family of eight, covering three generations with the youngest grandchild being 18 years old stayed at Groot Constantia Villa for two weeks from the 27th July to the 10th August 2014.
The superb location of the villa on the edge of the Groot Constantia Wine Estate made it an ideal location with shopping, restaurants and Peddlars on the Bend within a short drive. It is also very easy to get to the seaside at Hout Bay and Camps Bay with Cape Town just around the corner.
A walk through the vineyards to visit the Groot Constantia Wine Estate for the wine tasting followed by a meal sat outside the Jonkershuis Restaurant in the sunshine is a must.
Facilities in this magnificent villa are second to non with everything you might need to make your holiday one to remember with the outside eating area around the braai and the pizza oven being especially enjoyable.
The pool table was a great hit with our two grandsons and we must congratulate Dennis and Liz on the quality of the welcome pack which includes Liz’s famous lemon drizzle cake.

The Villa offers direct access into the Groot Constantia Vineyards which is South Africa's oldest best known wine estate and one of the most visited tourist attractions. Here one could go for leisurely walks and enjoy breath-taking views and even spot indigenous wildlife. There is also a museum, wine tasting and restaurants.
The Villa is situated half way between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. It is approximately a short scenic drive to the Atlantic Seaboard beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay or the False Bay beaches of Muizenberg, St James and Fish Hoek.
Boulders beach in Simonstown is home to the famous Jackass Penguins and is situated near the Cape Of Good Hope where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet.
A scenic day tour of the Peninsula would incorporate all the above places in addition to the Chapmans Peak Drive with its spectacular views.
V&A Waterfront is within easy reach and City tours can be arranged to all the famous landmarks. Visit the Two Oceans Aquarium in the Waterfront, shop until you drop, or take a trip to Robben Island to visit the prison where Nelson Mandela spent 27 years of his life.
Cape Town city bowl is in close proximity to the Villa.
The city centre offers a large range of various night life activities including some of the following: some of the top restaurants in South Africa, night clubs, theatres, and other entertaining activities.
