The bathroom has a fully-enclosed shower with WC and hand basin. Outside there is a sun deck and boma with fire pit/BBQ. At night the stars are truly amazing and the milky way so clear you’ll want to reach out and touch. Do whatever you’d like, explore our farm, take a walk in the forest, chill on the deck at the lily pond or kick back and take in the view. Explore nearby Knysna and Plettenberg Bay and the many wineries, animal sanctuaries, nature reserves, hiking and biking and adrenalin sports on our doorstep. We embrace nature and eco-sustainability. Our solar power system is off-grid and our water supply is 100% rainwater collected from our roofs. We avoid using pesticides and chemicals. Our family of 11 horses are free-roaming and our award-winning hens are free-range. If you yearn to spend less time ‘at work’ and more time following dreams we hope to inspire you to do just that.     Relax and enjoy! Smoking is outdoors is fine. We love kids but we are a farm with trees, water and large animals so ask parents please to be mindful of safety and ensure kids are supervised at all times. We are located in a peaceful rural neighbourhood and not suitable for parties or events. Our accommodation is not suitable for Plett matric rage. Thank you for respecting these rules :)

    A warm welcome awaits you. We love having guests and aim to give each of our visitors the best stay possible. We deal with all bookings, guests and guest-related matters personally. The farm is our home and we are on hand to share local info and advice as needed. We live in a beautiful place and enjoy sharing it with visitors. Our friendly horses visit Merlin's Cottage regularly along with Kashmir the socialite of our 3 cats. We'll prepare a welcome basket of fresh farm eggs and herbs from our garden on arrival specially for you and happily share produce from our veggie garden in season.

    Seventeen hectares, 42 acres, of natural peace. Angels Rest Farm Retreat lies within the Garden Route National Park in one of the most tranquil parts of the Southern Cape. A peaceful rural neighbourhood, yet just 12km from Plettenberg Bay and 20km from Knysna. Whatever you want to do, our relaxed accommodation offers a peaceful get away, your home from home ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the area and with easy access to many local attractions including wineries, animal sanctuaries, artisan handicrafts, blue flag beaches, nature reserves, hiking and biking trails and adrenalin sports.
    Getting around
    You'll need a car to reach us and get around in the Garden Route. Main roads are tarred and well-maintained in general but public transport is not widely available. Several car hire firms operate locally and from regional airports. In addition, there are minicabs for hire and local tour operators offering bespoke sightseeing experiences.
