Bisbee, Arizona
BISBEE CASITA CHIQUITA, right in the heart of historic Old Bisbee, was built in 2017 in the garden of the 'Quality Hill' manor house built a century earlier during the heyday of copper mining when Bisbee was known as 'queen of the copper camps.'. The Casita was decorated and made available for guest's lodging as of March 1, 2018. It is just a 2-block walk (with NO STAIRS!) to the main shopping street of Old Bisbee and a short walk to all the fine restaurants, pubs, galleries and antique shoppes. If you're a stair-lover, your hosts will gladly show you the alternate path via stairs to the shops--the annual Bisbee 1000 Great Stair Climb begins a block from your door. You're also just a stairway down (or walk the 2 blocks) to Screamin' Banshee Pizza, High Desert Market/Cafe, Contessa's Cantina and the f... Read more

Interaction with guests
Before retiring to Old Bisbee, owner/chef Sandra created & owned for 26 years the award-winning Cliff Cottage Inn, a luxury historic B&B with main inn and vintage cottages she restored in the Victorian artist colony of Eureka Springs, AR.Once in Bisbee, she missed the fun of owning an inn and so with her fairly new hubby (Carl, past Cliff Cottage Inn elf), they decided to create an elegant place for guests to stay in the new casita built in the garden of their 1916 manor house. They enjoy playing 'concierge' and are happy to help you find best restaurants, neat shops, galleries to check out local art, and other attractions to explore. If you like to chat, they are available. Here for a romantic getaway? They'll hand you the key and disappear!

About the neighborhood
The best thing about Bisbee Casita Chiquita is that you can actually drive right to the property and your off-street parking place.(Many Bisbee rentals you have to park downtown and then walk up a lot of staircases just to get to your place.)If you like stairs, the hosts can show you the best ones to follow to get downtown and then coming back when you might be a wee bit tired, you can easily walk the short blocks right to the casita without using stairs. Hosts will share with you 'insider info' about the restaurants and other places to visit, including attractions in and near Old Bisbee.
Getting around
For guests visiting Old Bisbee for their first visit, the hosts recommend taking one of the golf-cart tours around town offered by several companies. These also offer free shuttle service( with a minimum tip of $2) on weekends and during special events. Walking is definitely the best way to see the charming downtown. If you wish to explore farther afield, a car is needed.

This is at the north end of town. From Highway 80 and the west via Benson then Tombstone, take the Tombstone Canyon road exit to the right, follow Tombstone Canyon Road and turn right at the Iron Man statue, park there and call the owners who will come down to lead you to the casita.
