'A Cabin by the Pond', previously known as 'Moose Munch Cabins' is only one mile from Soldotna in a secluded setting and directly across the road from the famous Kenai River. We have seven cabins for rent within walking distance (1/4 mile) to a no-fee, public access area to the Kenai River. The grounds consist of an artesian water-fed pond, five beautiful modern cabins, a Chapel Lodge and an authentic Alaska Log Lodge cabin for rent. We also have Wi-Fi, ample parking, a fish cleaning station, freezers to store your catch, a community fire pit, and picnic areas. Come join us at A Cabin by the Pond on your next adventure to Alaska! Soldotna is located in the middle of the Kenai Peninsula. The Kenai Peninsula is called 'Alaska's Playground'.

Courtney was very accommodating.

I booked a 2 bedroom for 2 couples. The cabin turned out to be a 1 bedroom loft with 2 twin beds under the stairs( no privacy and no room to move) . The booking also said there was a washer and dryer. Courtney opened the big cabin up to us for laundry and even to stay a night there. She was very helpful in trying to make us comfortable. We made it work for us by using futon in living /kitchen space. Actually comfortable. Cabin by the pond is a peaceful, pretty setting. We even saw a moose from driveway.

Relax in the wild!

We stayed at The Cabin by the Pond in Kenai Alaska. The setting in the woods was lovely and we met nearby campers who shared their travels with us, around a warm campfire. The cabin was cozy and the amenities suited our needs. We stayed at the Peace Within Cabin which is perfect for a couple or single person with a child or two. The second loft bedroom is difficult to climb for an adult, but perfect for kids. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Quiet Cabin off of main road

Location off of main drag , quiet area near the Kenai River. Some construction going on during our stay at property. Cabin is small, but large enough for two adults. Kitchen had all the essentials and a small amount of condiments. Our stay was comfortable .

Cabin by the Pond

The Cabin by the Pond was reasonably priced and had everything we needed. We were a group of 8 and were in need of an additional bed of some sort. Courtney provided us with an air mattress right away which made sleeping 8 more comfortable. Courtney was so helpful and responsive which made the trip enjoyable. The view was pretty and the cabins were adorable.

Great place to stay

These cabins are clean and offer all you need for a short stay. They are rather small, but had room for all our luggage. The queen bed is very comfortable. The service was top notch.

Perfect for our family

Courtney called early on our check in day because she wanted to be sure she was available when we arrived. I gave her a time-estimate that was completely wrong, but she there to greet us with a smile when we showed up very late. The cabin was perfect for our family of four. We didn't spend a ton of time indoors because we spent most of it fishing, but the location is perfect for running into town or up the road to the river.

Soldotna's best kept secret

Everything was perfect! The cabins were neat and clean, the host was wonderful and the price was right. Safe area away from water for the kids to run and play but not too far from the fishing spots. The property squirrel was a huge added bonus that the kids (and adults) enjoyed. Definitely coming back!

Moose!

We enjoyed our stay in the Dream Cabin very much! The grounds are very secluded for being so close to the conveniences of town, and the pond just outside our cabin was actually visited by a moose our first morning there! Hosts Eric and Courtney were very friendly and helpful.

I didn't want to leave

We were only here for one night but sure wished we were staying longer. We loved our cabin and all of the little extra touches such as the owner lighting a candle and turning on the turtle light before we arrived and the two mason jars on candy. We were happily surprised to find a washer and dryer too. The boys loved all of the fish shaped pillows. And we had so much fun feeding Jeri the friendly squirrel those peanuts. Good wifi signal and flat screen tv. Property is clean and well maintained.

Wish we could stay longer

We had a wonderful time in the Serenity Cabin and wish we could have stayed longer. With 2 of us taking a bear viewing flight with Natron Air, the other 3 family members had a bit of time to kill and we were thankful for a super early 11 am check IN. Paul and Millie were fantastic, friendly, and very welcoming. The cabin had all the needed items so we could cook our own dinner and breakfast (the Carrs/Safeway is just a short drive away) and just relax and enjoy the cabin in our last day in Alaska. We didn't see any moose on the property but did see a mom with 2 calves a short distance away towards the airport.
